Alright, Royanne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I was working as an international flight attendant when the idea first sparked. One day, mid-flight, I noticed the plane was filled with travel groups from tour companies in China. It hit me—after fulfilling my childhood dream of traveling the world, I wanted to help others experience the joy of travel too, but in a way that was stress-free and seamless.
Having visited over 80 countries, I knew firsthand how overwhelming visiting a new country could be. So I immersed myself in travel advisor courses and began to develop a streamlined trip planning process—one I’ve now used to curate over 500 unforgettable vacations for clients.
That moment on the plane changed everything. After each flight, once the meal service was complete, I’d pull out my pink pocket-sized notebook to map out my dream business—step by step. I wrote down the name: Dream Aloud Travels. Then came the logo, the services, and most importantly, the vision. I didn’t want to create a cookie-cutter travel agency. I wanted to design journeys that truly reflect each traveler’s unique passions and personal values.
I set a launch date for within the year and committed to it. Each week, I set small, actionable goals—refining the brand, researching tools, building systems, and learning the business inside out. Looking back, it was those consistent small steps that turned an in-flight idea into a thriving travel business. It’s been a beautiful journey, and I’m grateful every day that I took that leap.

I’m Royanne DeSilva, Founder of Dream Aloud Travels. My journey began as an international flight attendant, where I had the privilege of traveling to over 80 countries. Along the way, I realized how overwhelming visiting a new country can be, especially when you want something truly personal and seamless.
That’s what inspired me to start my company. We are a luxury travel concierge that curates tailor-made trips based on each client’s unique interests, values, and travel style. From romantic getaways to family-friendly adventures and destination weddings, we design every detail to reflect you.
My competitive advantage lies in firsthand experience and deep industry insight. Having planned over 500 unforgettable journeys, I understand the common stress points and know exactly how to navigate the unexpected. My goal is to take the pressure off your plate and bring your dream trip to life – with heart, precision, and just the right amount of magic!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
When we welcome a new client, we make a commitment to go above and beyond to ensure their journey is exceptional from the moment they leave home to the moment they return.
Recently, a client wasn’t satisfied with their hotel experience at check-in. I personally stepped in, contacted the hotel manager, and arranged an immediate upgrade with VIP access to an exclusive area, a complimentary private romantic dinner and a special turndown service.
We listen, we care and we act. No request is too small and no detail too big for us to handle. It’s this dedication that has earned us an exceptional reputation in the industry which we’re proud of and committed to upholding..

How did you build your audience on social media?
It all comes down to providing real value. One of my most engaged videos on my personal Instagram, @royannedesilva, was a video where I shared genuine life lessons I’ve learned which resonated with many. I also built a loyal audience by sharing practical tips on how I became a flight attendant, which has actually helped several followers land jobs in the industry.
On our business page, @dreamaloudtravels, our audience connects most with content that breaks down travel costs and outlines what to expect when planning a trip. Transparency builds trust.
And of course, consistency is key. We stick to a dedicated posting schedule, which helps us stay connected, relevant, and reliable in the eyes of our audience.
