Roslynn, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think to be successful it takes someone that is willing to put in consistent effort, continuous learning, networking, adaptability, setting clear goals, adaptability, and a positive mindset. A person must first identify what success means to them and then work towards it with dedication and determination. Success is a journey, not just a destination.
I developed my point of view by continuing to focus on my goals and despite all the challenges that have been thrown my way, I’ve never given up. My idea of success is persistence and dedication.
I heard a story from Les Brown at a conference I attended. Les Brown shared how he wanted to pursue a career in broadcasting and he went to the station everyday to ask for employment, but due to his lack of experience he was turned down daily. Les Brown didn’t give up he continued showing up to the station until he was provided a job doing errands for the station manager and DJ’s. Les Brown was smart while at the station he would learn about the fundamentals of being a DJ and studied as much as possible while doing errands. There was a night that Mr. Brown was the only other person in the building with a DJ on set that was unable to finish his set. The station manager called and asked Mr. Brown to find another DJ. Les Brown told his station manager he would contact all DJ’s, but what he did was contact his family and tell them he was about to be on the AIR! He told the station manager no one was available and he was told to get on the AIR. He then went on to be a successful in broadcasting, politics, public speaking and television. The reason Les Brown wanted to pursue this career is because he wanted to buy his adoptive mother a home. He was able to purchase a home for her.
That was the most inspirational story. It was motivational and amazing to hear how determined he was to reach the goal of purchasing a home for his adoptive mother. I developed my view of success by listening to podcast and realizing I can dream bigger than I was allowing myself to dream.

Hi my name is Roslynn! I am a multi-talented professional known for her roles as a Virtual Assistant, Entrepreneur, and Executive Assistant. As a virtual assistant, I leverage my organizational and communication skills to provide remote administrative and support services to individuals and businesses. My ability to handle diverse tasks, manage schedules, and facilitate smooth operations has earned myself a reputation as a reliable and efficient virtual assistant.
In addition to my virtual assistant work, I am a driven entrepreneur. I have demonstrated my innovative mindset by launching and managing my own business ventures. Through my entrepreneurial endeavors, I’ve showcased my creativity, strategic thinking, and determination to bring fresh ideas to life.
Furthermore, I have a background as an Executive Assistant. In this role, I have worked alongside a CEO, utilizing my exceptional organizational skills to coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and streamline administrative processes. We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience with my beauty business. I started promoting beauty products in 2018. I learned how to promote products on social media through the tools I learned from my business. I learned how to tell a story, build an authentic brand, create content that is engaging and educational and help others with their hair or skin concerns.
I built my audience over the last 5 years by educating, entertaining, and being authentic.
Building a strong and engaged audience on social media requires a combination of strategic planning, consistent effort, and genuine interaction. The advice I would give someone who is just starting to build a social media presence is define your brand and niche, quality content, consistency is key, use hashtags wisely, engage authentically, and collaborate.
Remember, authenticity and genuine connections are the foundations of successful social media growth. Stay true to your brand, be patient, and adapt your strategies based on what resonates most with your audience over time.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been defining my audience, building a strong online presence, content marketing, networking, referral programs, email marketing, online advertising, personal branding, and offering free resources.
Client growth takes time and persistence. Consistently implement these strategies while keeping the needs of your clients at the forefront of your efforts. Building strong relationships and delivering value will help you build a loyal and expanding clientele over time.
Most of the clients I have for my Virtual Assistant business have been referrals or through networking opportunities.
