We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rosie Zilinskas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Rosie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry?
Corporate America does not provide the right resources for women to have the equity they deserve in the business world. Equity implies that men and women all have the resources they need to have an equal footing in their careers.
If the corporate world treated everyone with equity, the gender or pay gap would automatically disappear.
What are some resources that employers can provide women so that they have the same opportunities as men?
1) Employers and managers can encourage women to apply for opportunities with less than 100% of the skills recommended in the job description. Men often apply for jobs having only 50% of the necessary skills to perform the job.
2) Standard workshops such as ‘Negotiating in the Workplace’ or ‘Executive Presence’ can be offered as part of the developmental curriculum for women at work.
3) Employers can conduct a pay audit to ensure they are promoting and fostering #payequity.
There are many things that Corporate America can do to create equity for women to have the career of their dreams!
Rosie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

HOW YOU GOT INTO YOUR INDUSTRY
Having been in the corporate world for many years, I noticed that when we onboarded women right out of college, they did not ask questions or advocate for themselves. This continued for a few years, and I finally decided to do something about it. In 2022, I finally established ‘No Woman Left Behind’ as my brand, company, and podcast to advocate for women in the corporate world.
WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCTS/SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE
I am a career strategist, which means that I help women advance in their corporate careers. I provide group coaching, VIP coaching, resume services, Engaging Speakers – Voice of Truth book, and resources and workbooks on my NoWomanLeftBehind.com website.
WHAT PROBLEMS DO YOU SOLVE FOR YOUR CLIENTS
I help women articulate their worth with massive confidence, conviction, and clarity to obtain the career of their dreams. Women hold themselves back and don’t know what their career path blockers are. I help uncover the critical blocker to create a focused strategy to advance in their careers.
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHERS
I have 30+ years of experience in the corporate world and have walked in the shoes of women stuck in their careers. I have a proven strategy that works to advance in the corporate world.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF
I’m proud of my ‘No Woman Left Behind’ podcast with over 50 published episodes. This is incredible since I never thought I would be a podcaster. I’m also proud of the ‘No Woman Left Behind’ brand.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN THINGS YOU WANT POTENTIAL CLIENTS TO KNOW
I am passionate about career development. I want women to know that they can advance in their careers by advocating for themselves. They need to apply for jobs they are interested in even if they don’t have all the skills in the job description; they need to ask questions, ask for a mentor and believe they deserve the job of their dreams.
I also have a resource for women to identify the key blocker that holds them back in their careers. The NoWomanLeftBehind.com website also has free resources.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I am a domestic violence abuse survivor. I was married to a man with a terrible temper that was mentally abusive, which affected my mental health. I thought he would kill me one day and fled my home with my 4 and 6-year-old kids.
I went through a 4-year process of getting divorced and fighting for custody of my kids to ensure they were safe. When I turned 40, the divorce process finally ended, and I could move on.
At that time, I realized I needed to focus on my career because I had these 2 little kids to care for. But I was waiting for the promotion to come to me instead of me reaching for the promotion. Things started happening when I finally asked to be considered for a management promotion! Six months later, I earned my promotion to Regional Underwriting Manager.
I campaigned for me, and now I’m an Executive Vice President for a $50B global insurance company and the CEO and founder of No Woman Left Behind.
Advocating for myself opened up my path to advocate for other women!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
