We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rosie a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Rosie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I started this blog in 2022, with the mission to empower and inspire. I was tired of not feeling like I had a voice, so I decided to try to give everyone else one. That’s when I started Inside w/ Kc Artist. I post interviews, newsletters, blogs, offer advice columns, interactive events, and more through this blog. I aim to provide an inclusive platform for people to come together and talk openly about their experiences and opinions. At Inside w/ Kc Artist, we believe that creativity, collaboration, and community go hand-in-hand. We invite you to be part of a growing network of creative individuals who are working together to bring their visions to life. We challenge you to think outside the box, be inspired by each other, and create something truly unique. We strive to foster an environment of support and collaboration, so that together, we can make the world a more creative place. Read my blog and join the conversation!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always had a love for writing, and drawing, if it was art related, count me in. A couple of years ago I decided to intertwine the two and make an art blog, where I can focus on our community. I knew that no matter what I did in this world I wanted to change something and have some impact and this is my way. Within our community together, we have started a smaller community, which is more than just interviews and Instagram posts, it’s a family and a safe space to be even if you just need to talk. We need to be here for each other all around and that’s what Inside Kc serves as. We offer a few different services you can choose from, (you can even choose to do all if you’d like)
– Written/ or Video Interview
– Unlimited Reels
– Collective group (Instagram highlights that you can come back to and edit any time you want)
On top of that, we offer virtual events for anyone in the district to join like Q&A and Artist of the Month, giveaways, and more!
If you’re having a hard time getting into the art community or just don’t know where to start come work with us at Inside w/ Kc artist where we can help navigate you to where you need to go, help with website building, promotions, exposure, vendor events, and more!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The perspective that we gain. I feel like we as artists all look at the world differently. It’s not just one way or the other like it would be if you just had a straight logical mind, as creatives, we reach for new things or are on the lookout constantly. Which in the end, I feel is the most rewarding part. For example, we could stumble on the side of the road and find a broken object, before we can say, “That’s broken.” I’ve already thought of 1,97329 ways to fix it and turn it into something new.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
If you’re like me and you have a hard time believing anyone is listening, or you can’t find any motivation in all that dwelling to get up and do something creative. I suggest The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*CK by Mark Manson, where he teaches you how to: not let things stop you. I’ve always been too hard on myself to strive at anything. When I started IWKCA, I was in a not-so-good place mentally, but since I’ve read that book and been focusing on the way I look at things, it’s made it easier for me to step up, take charge, and be the person I want to be for our community. Once you realize that all L’s aren’t losses but Little bumps that you can step over and move forward, it will be easier for you. To strive at what you’re good at.
