Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Roshown Gateskill . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Roshown , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Honestly I think it takes unbreakable drive and continuous determination no matter how old or if you simply think you can’t do it if you have your mind set on something especially something you really love there should be nothing that would get in your way to make your dreams of reality it all depends on you you got to make it happen and if you really want you will definitely get it!
Roshown , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Absolutely well to start of my name is Roshown Gateskill born and raised in Lexington Kentucky and graduate from Henry Clay High school which is actually where everything started honestly all my life I had people tell me I had a good personality for tv in general but I really didn’t think that that kind of stuff was achievable so going through school I always thought about going into modeling and acting but didn’t know how so I was going to try and be a microbiologist instead apart from drama and the arts I absolutely love science and still do! but we have what’s called senior benefit at our high school to raise money for prom we out on a show if sorts with like SNL skits, dances, and singing I did it and fell in love even had my own skit called “The Roshown Show” it was such a blast so after high I took a year off to figure out what I really wanted to do and decided to go full throttle with my craft in modeling and acting went to images modeling and talent got some excellent tips got to do runway, photoshoots, and even star in films! And know I believe I’m ready for the big dogs of Los Angeles California where I hope and plan to move in February! I fell in love with more of the art side of things just the idea that me, my body, can be a canvas for peoples designs and artistic concepts is just so out of this world amazing! And like with acting it’s cool being someone you don’t get to be everyday from villains and superheroes to royalty and horror you can be it all! and I’ll continue to stay focused and goal oriented until I’m at the top!!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Ofcorse I got to go to this convention called IMTA it’s an international modeling and acting competition the experience was so fantastic I’d love to do it again got 5o meet some heavy hitters in the industry again the experience was amazing but ofcorse you got the ones that are really particular and me my main passion is modeling and me not being 6tf ofcorse I’ve gotten people that say I’ll never be able to to what I do because I’m not 6ft but news flash I’m a wonderful 5’10 and there are male models that are shorter than me doing way more than I am right now it’s really all about connecting and personality slash attitude so comments like that I pay no attention to because there no point nothing will stop me from achieving where I want to be!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding for me is that feeling you get when doing something you never thought could be possible to know how much work and effort you put in to build your brand and perfecting your craft is not only mad respectable but very inspiring as well personally fame is not what I’m after and ofcorse not all for the money but you do got to pay bills out here! Lol but to get paid doing what you love honestly should be everyone’s goal and I just happen to love modeling and acting I just want to inspire others like me and model for any and every high end brand I can!
