We recently connected with Rosewood Production House and have shared our conversation below.
Rosewood Production House, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
We are a husband and wife team, so we bring both the masculine and feminine to our work. We are both storytellers by nature so whether through photo or film we highlight our clients story. Another thing we love to do is create a fun environment during our sessions which helps to bring out the best in our subjects whether it’s a family, wedding, headshots or kids!

Rosewood Production House, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Both of us have had a camera in hand from a very early age. Adam apprenticed in highschool under a photographer out in Northern New Mexico. He had the opportunity to shoot nature photography for postcards, river rafting trips and at a ski area, so quite a large area of photography. Torrey was able to take classes in photography in high school and a love began. We were college sweethearts and always loved doing photography together. We shot our first wedding together as a team in 2010 and the rest is history. We love all areas of photography and love telling the story of not only families, weddings, maternity, births etc, but love helping business create content and tell their stories as well.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Photography started out as a side hustle to make extra money because we worked for a non-profit. We did some family sessions and weddings, then in 2015 it became a full time career. Adam was thrown into the deep-end with some film/video projects and we were able to add that to our repertoire. Then we were then asked to photograph events for local nonprofits, schools and churches which grew our ability to content create for businesses. It seems the name of our game has been pivot to be able to serve many different types of clients and meet their needs.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The pandemic was difficult for many small businesses but devastating for those of us in the wedding industry. We had the amazing opportunity during this time to help many local nonprofits, schools and churches. We were able to create virtual walkthroughs for schools, when parents weren’t able to visit them in person. We were able to help nonprofits with video trainings and local churches with their video needs. This pivot really helped expand our client base and knowledge to creatively serve the needs of nonprofits, churches and businesses.
