We were lucky to catch up with Roselyn Omaka recently and have shared our conversation below.
Roselyn, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want to help people reconnect with that childlike mindset where the world feels boundless and full of possibilities. Remember when you were a kid, dreaming big and believing you could do anything? Before the world imposed its expectations and societal pressures on you? You took risks without hesitation and saw every day as an adventure.
In my work, I aim to capture and inspire that spirit. It’s about shedding the constraints of adulthood and embracing exploration and curiosity. Achieving your greatest version means approaching life with wonder, believing in your potential, and viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.
However, it’s essential to recognize that true change starts from within. My goal is to reshape narratives that limit human potential by leveraging technology and media as transformative storytelling platforms. By creating content that challenges existing paradigms and highlights extraordinary journeys of resilience, we can empower individuals to reimagine their possibilities.
Through innovative storytelling and strategic media production, we’ll develop platforms that inspire personal transformation while reminding everyone that the journey to becoming better begins within ourselves. Together, we can push the world forward. Overall, your original message is already compelling! These adjustments are just minor enhancements to make it even more impactful.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As the the founder of Bolanle Media, where we highlight incredible stories of individuals who have overcome significant obstacles to achieve greatness. My journey into the media space began with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices. Recognized as a “people connector,” I discovered how media can inspire change and foster meaningful connections.
I’m also excited to serve as the new director of the Houston Comedy Film Festival, which has been celebrating comedic storytelling for nearly 16 years. This role allows me to engage with filmmakers and audiences, promoting creativity and laughter in our community.
Through The Roselyn Omaka Show and various media projects, we showcase inspiring journeys—from financial literacy discussions with Super Bowl champions to life-saving swimming lessons with Olympic athlete Cullen Jones. Each episode empowers listeners by sharing real-life stories of resilience and success.
We offer services like podcast production, video content creation, digital marketing, and brand storytelling. A key focus is supporting independent filmmakers who want to self-distribute their films. We partner with these creatives to think outside the box and explore new territories and markets for their projects, providing essential resources and mentorship.
I take pride in the impact we’ve made in helping communities thrive. By leveraging technology and media as transformative tools, we inspire individuals to reimagine their possibilities.
We’re more than just a creative agency; we’re a movement dedicated to pushing the world forward through storytelling. If you’re looking for a partner passionate about authentic narratives and making a difference, let’s collaborate on your journey. Together, we can inspire others and create lasting change through the stories we tell.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been launching The Roselyn Omaka Show. It’s not just about the number of listeners; it’s really about the quality of connections I’ve made along the way. While I already had a global network, the podcast has allowed people to see more of my personality and who I am beyond my professional role.
Through engaging conversations with inspiring guests—like Super Bowl champions discussing financial literacy and Olympic athletes sharing life-saving lessons—listeners get a genuine glimpse into my authentic self. This platform has not only deepened existing relationships but also opened doors to new opportunities and clients.
The connections formed through the podcast have been invaluable, creating a community united by a common goal of empowerment and inspiration. It’s amazing how sharing your voice and vision can resonate with others, leading to meaningful collaborations and lasting partnerships.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
A significant pivot in my life occurred during the pandemic when I decided to fully embrace entrepreneurship. With so many changes happening around me and numerous restrictions in place, I felt that my skills were being stifled by people who didn’t share the same level of commitment or care. I realized I didn’t want anyone else controlling my destiny.
This realization pushed me to go all in on myself and focus on Bolanle Media and its ventures, including podcasting. This decision has proven to be one of the best choices of my life.
The podcast allowed me to connect with inspiring individuals and share their stories, while also showcasing my personality and vision. Embracing this path has opened up new opportunities and allowed me to create a platform that empowers others, reinforcing my belief in the power of resilience and determination.
