We were lucky to catch up with Roselda (N’Gozi) Mckee-Mathis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Roselda (N’Gozi), thanks for joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
One of the key ways I show customer appreciation is by creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable discussing their traumas, fears, dreams, and aspirations. I understand that many individuals face ostracization due to their religious beliefs, and I strive to offer them a haven where they can express themselves freely. By actively listening and showing empathy, I foster a sense of trust and belonging.
Moreover, I assist my clients by serving as a spiritual companion on their journey toward wellness and grounding. I invite them to ask questions and explore their spirituality in a safe environment. Whether it’s through one-on-one conversations, providing resources, or guiding them through specific practices, I aim to empower my clients to achieve a more balanced and peaceful life.
By showing genuine care and providing tailored support, I ensure that each customer feels valued, understood, accepted, and even loved which, in turn, deepens our relationship and enhances their overall experience.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Growing up all over the world including overseas, I developed a fascination with crystals at a young age. This interest was rekindled when, upon my father’s passing, I discovered a collection of stones he had kept throughout the years. This poignant moment reminded me of the awe I had always felt for these natural wonders.
My upbringing also exposed me to various religious practices and traditions, which fueled my curiosity and encouraged me to seek knowledge across different denominations and practices. This broad exposure has given me a unique perspective on spirituality and the interconnectedness of all things.
In 2020, I experienced a near-death event that profoundly changed my outlook on life. This experience instilled in me a sense of urgency to explore Metaphysical Sciences more deeply. It made me realize how interconnected everything is and underscored the importance of understanding the deeper meanings and connections that define our existence.
These experiences have collectively shaped who I am today and drive my passion for continuous learning and exploration. I believe that my journey has equipped me with a unique blend of empathy, curiosity, and a holistic view of the world, which I bring into everything I do.
“Spiritual Companioning (SC) or Spiritual Direction (SD) is a gentle, caring, supportive, approach that honors your unique spiritual beliefs. It is not about what others are venturing but rather about honoring what spirituality means to you. SC or SD can help you to cultivate a deeper sense of peace, experience greater joy, find meaning and purpose, open up to your awakening, understand Emergence and Emergency of your awakening, and also begin or continue to heal from life’s inevitable traumas and setbacks.
Spiritual Companioning is not Psychotherapy. If you are seeking therapy, please connect with a licensed psychotherapist as I do not have that credential.
My role is to be a supportive companion and to hold the space so that you can discover and listen to your Inner Wisdom or Higher Self. I offer my experience in Inter-Spiritual Direction to support you in your unfolding and personal journey. There is intimacy between you and God/Goddess. I am simply a witness to this sacred process.
Areas of Exploration Can Include but Not Limited:
Choosing stones, spiritual bath recommendations, oil recommendations, herbal recommendations, Incorporating Prayer & or Affirmations, Journaling, Contemplation, Meditation, Forgiveness, and Silence, Supporting Wisdom, Trusting Intuition/Discernment, Working with Grief & death, Spiritual Wounding, Supporting BIPOC family dynamics and cultures, Guilt, Confessions, Support for struggles with Alcohol, Drugs, Suicidal ideations, Separation or loss (transition) of children, and even the supports for releasing which serves no purpose in your life.
I am here to listen, guide by way of Spirit, and assist in what you allow if you decide. REMEMBER, we are ALL students and teachers. I encourage all to be open to be in either role……

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
In my opinion, my reputation was significantly built during the uncertain times of the pandemic. The community was dealing with a multitude of challenges such as the loss of loved ones, financial instability, mental health struggles, and the desperate need for human interaction. During this period of unprecedented hardship, I noticed a glaring gap in our community—the absence of a dedicated space that offered acceptance and self-healing, especially in the context of spirituality.
Understanding the critical need for such a space, I established what I refer to as a Metaphysical Sanctuary in the Columbus and Tri-City area. This sanctuary was designed to provide not only spiritual guidance but also emotional support, creating a haven for individuals to process their experiences and heal.
What set my sanctuary apart was its unique approach to spirituality combined with a profound understanding of the community’s needs. I focused on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where people felt safe to explore their spirituality and seek support without judgment.
Moreover, my proactive engagement with the community—through virtual sessions, support groups, and wellness workshops—helped foster a sense of connection when people needed it the most. The compassionate and empathetic services offered by the sanctuary resonated deeply with the community, offering them a lifeline during a challenging period.
As a result, my reputation was built on being a reliable and nurturing presence in the community, providing unwavering support at a time when many felt lost. I truly believe that it was the combination of timing, the unique nature of the services provided, and a genuine passion for helping others that contributed to building my reputation within the market.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
“In 2023, I made the challenging decision to close Kulture Kinnect 360 with the hope of finding a larger location that could accommodate a wider variety of services. This was not an easy choice, and I found myself grappling with the vision I had originally set out for the business. In my initial plan, I envisioned our first location as a steppingstone, with a second location following shortly after. However, after much reflection and guidance, I recognized the need to close our current doors and wait for the right opportunity to present itself for our next location.
During this transitional period, I often contemplated whether a partnership might have altered the course of events, sparking a different set of opportunities and challenges. Nonetheless, this pivot has not deterred me from my mission to serve the community. In fact, it has fueled my determination even more.
While I seek the ideal new space for Kulture Kinnect 360, I am simultaneously working on advancing my non-profit organization. This dual focus allows me to continue making a positive impact on the community in multiple ways. It’s a demanding path, but one that I am passionate about and committed to. This experience has taught me resilience and the value of flexibility, and I am more motivated than ever to succeed in both endeavors.”
