We were lucky to catch up with Rose The Goat recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rose The Goat, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew I wanted to be a musician at an early age. I have a love for music and instruments. I play the piano and I’m a singer, I love everything about music. I feel like music is literally an expression and my daily life.
Rose The Goat, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a 27 year old R&B artist/ musician. I got into the industry about 2 years ago professionally. My focus has always been my craft which is my music. What sets me apart from others is I feel like music is art, and it should be treated as such. However, I don’t just do R&B. I have versatility. I’m happy when I’m able to reach different people with my music and make them feel different emotions.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I have built my audience and presence on social media by networking with other creatives as well as my distribution deal with Bentley records. I advise other artist who are trying to build up their presence is do shows. Always post your work, you never know who is watching! Also network with other musicians/ artist. Take risk and take opportunities.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Early on I wish I knew how resourceful social media was. I wasn’t so active on social media in my earlier parts of my career. Times have changed.
