Rose, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

Passion fuels my every endeavor, whether it’s nurturing my business, delighting my clients, or empowering my performers. The idea of a conventional 9 to 5 job has never appealed to me; I’ve always been a go-getter, driven by the thrill of chasing dreams. From a young age, I knew I was destined for a life less ordinary.

My journey as a working actor, spanning National Tours, Broadway, Film, TV, and Voiceover, has been a whirlwind of exhilarating highs and humbling challenges. Yet, through it all, I’ve cultivated resilience and resourcefulness, learning to navigate the unpredictable terrain of showbiz with unwavering determination.

Transitioning to the role of a business owner has brought a new sense of fulfillment and stability. Owning and leading a women-led enterprise has been nothing short of empowering. It’s a testament to the strength and resilience of women in business, and I am immensely proud to be a part of it.

Every twist and turn in my journey has led me here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m living my dream, and for that, I am truly grateful.

Having spent years captivating audiences on Broadway, I recognized a gap in the market—a need to infuse the joy, love, and laughter of musical theater into special occasions. Witnessing traditional singing telegrams often resorting to embarrassing gimmicks, I was determined to redefine the concept.

I refused to conform to the status quo of placing performers in uncomfortable costumes that obscured their talent and identity. Instead, I envisioned a company where singing telegrams were synonymous with love, fun, and hilarity—crafted by exceptionally talented performers who are not only strong singers but also incredible actors.

Our commitment to excellence and innovation propelled us to the forefront of the industry. By prioritizing preparation, creativity, and genuine emotion over fleeting laughs. We’ve elevated singing telegrams to an art form that captivates and delights.

We’re not just delivering performances; we’re creating unforgettable experiences. From heartfelt serenades to original musical productions, we’ve redefined what it means to surprise and delight with a gift that transcends the ordinary.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

My approach to leading my team is deeply rooted in the golden rule: treat others as you would like to be treated.

Having experienced both exemplary treatment and disappointing experiences in my career, I understand the profound impact it has on morale and performance. Therefore, I prioritize creating a nurturing and supportive environment where performers feel safe, valued, and empowered to excel.

Respect is non-negotiable in my company culture. Every member of the team deserves to be treated with dignity and appreciation. I make it a point to express gratitude for their dedication and hard work, recognizing that without their talent and commitment, the company wouldn’t thrive.

In essence, managing a team and maintaining high morale is about more than just achieving business goals—it’s about cultivating a culture of mutual respect, support, and gratitude. By prioritizing the well-being and fulfillment of my team members, I’ve witnessed firsthand how it translates into exceptional performances and enduring success.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

As we expand our services nationwide, our mission remains steadfast: to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to experience the love and joy conveyed by our singing telegrams at least once in their lifetime. In pursuit of this vision, I’ve sought inspiration and guidance from several insightful books that have shaped my management and entrepreneurial thinking.

Among them are ‘How to Grow a Small Business’ by Donald Miller, which offers invaluable strategies for scaling a business effectively. Additionally, ‘The Leveraged Business’ by Fabienne Fredrickson provides practical insights into leveraging resources and maximizing efficiency in business operations. And ‘Scale or Fail’ by Allison Masian offers indispensable advice on navigating the challenges of growth and expansion.
