We were lucky to catch up with Rosario recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rosario, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
At Maritur DMC, our mission is clear: when a corporate incentive program selects Mexico, we take on the responsibility of showcasing our country with excellence, authenticity, and heart. As a second-generation, women-owned company, this is more than business—it’s our purpose.
We are the bridge between global organizations and the soul of Mexico. Our role goes beyond logistics; we craft experiences that immerse guests in the richness of our culture, the warmth of our people, and the extraordinary beauty of our destinations. But our impact doesn’t stop there. Every program we design fuels the local economy—creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and empowering artisans, chefs, and performers whose craft defines Mexico’s identity.
We take pride in elevating Mexico’s global reputation while ensuring that every event leaves a meaningful economic footprint. When you choose Mexico, you gain a partner who is fully committed to excellence, responsibility, and creating connections that go beyond a single experience—resonating with guests and strengthening our communities for years to come. At Maritur, we don’t just manage destinations—we drive economic growth and bring Mexico’s heart to life.

Rosario, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale requires a balance of leadership, empathy, and clear communication. Here’s my advice:
1. Lead by Example: Set the tone for your team by demonstrating the values you expect from them—integrity, dedication, and positivity. Show that you’re committed to the mission and your team’s success.
2. Communicate Openly and Frequently: Keep your team informed about goals, challenges, and successes. Transparency helps build trust and reduces uncertainty, keeping everyone aligned and motivated.
3. Recognize and Celebrate Successes: Take time to acknowledge both individual and team accomplishments, no matter how small. Recognition boosts morale and shows your team that their hard work is valued.
4. Provide Growth Opportunities: Encourage personal and professional development by offering training, mentoring, and new responsibilities. Empower your team to grow and develop their skills.
5. Foster a Positive and Inclusive Culture: Create an environment where everyone feels respected and heard. Encourage collaboration, open feedback, and a sense of belonging.
6. Offer Support and Encouragement: Be there for your team during challenges. Sometimes the best way to maintain morale is by showing genuine care and offering guidance when things get tough.
7. Empower Your Team: Trust them with responsibility and autonomy. When team members feel trusted, it boosts their confidence and sense of ownership in their work.
By keeping morale high, you foster a team that is motivated, productive, and invested in success. Ultimately, a happy, supported team delivers the best results
