We recently connected with Rori Mitchell and have shared our conversation below.

Rori, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?

If I could go back I would have started my. Business sooner than I did. I started my travel business and just a few months later we were in a pandemic that shut down almost all travel. I had my very first group cruise plan which was cancelled due to Covid. I think if I had started sooner I would have been able to get more clients and have more time to master the travel industry.

Rori, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am a Travel Advisor that specializes in group trips. My first interest in the travel business sparked when a friend who noticed that I travel a lot asked if I heard of being a travel advisor. While I heard of being a travel agent I didn’t know the ins and outs.

I help people plan the trips of their dreams. I organize their whole trip if they desire. Whatever the client needs are whether it be just booking their flights because they don’t have the time to planning their whole trip. My favorite trips to plan are milestone trips birthday, anniversary, etc because the client will always remember who helped with this memory.

I want all potential clients to know they will get a personable experience when working with me. When i work with my client i treat them just like family they are not just another check to me.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

My best source for new clients have been client referrals. I receive calls daily from referrals from other clients that enjoyed the experience they received when working with me.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Traveling with RoriJ had a rough start due to Covid. I was only a few months into my business and travel shutdown. During this time I took time to research different places and to get certified in travel to different locations. To learn as much about the places I want to travel as well as educate others about.
