Rori, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
At Bare Essentials Cleaning Service, we believe that inclusivity is essential in creating a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered. The adult entertainment industry has historically been restrictive in terms of who is seen as desirable or marketable. We actively challenge these outdated standards by welcoming individuals of all genders, body types, and backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to work in a respectful and supportive environment. Our journey has reinforced the importance of bodily autonomy and self-expression, and we strive to foster a space where confidence is built, not diminished. By setting this standard, we hope to help redefine societal perceptions of topless maid cleaning services as legitimate, empowering, and an inclusive industry.
Rori, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Bare Essentials Cleaning Service was founded on the idea of providing a fun, unique, and professional cleaning experience. My former business partner was inspired after seeing topless maid services gain traction on social media, and she reached out to me for guidance. With my experience in business development, I helped shape the business plan and structure. When she stepped away, I took over and have since focused on refining our approach, ensuring we prioritize respect, safety, and inclusivity.
At its core, Bare Essentials Cleaning Service is a professional cleaning company with a unique uniform. Our clients are everyday people—both men and women—who enjoy a good view while getting a necessary chore checked off their list. What sets us apart isn’t just the service, but the way we operate. Our hiring process is based on work ethic, experience, and personality—not just looks. I never ask for pictures during hiring, and most of our maids meet me in person only at the final interview. We believe that confidence and professionalism come in all forms, and we welcome people of all genders and body types.
Additionally, we prioritize transparency with our clients. While our service is considered a luxury, we make it clear exactly what to expect—no misleading advertising, no hidden agendas. We are a cleaning service, first and foremost, with a little added fun.
A big part of running a successful topless maid service is ensuring a safe and respectful environment for both our maids and clients. We screen all clients before booking, require agreement to a strict Client Conduct Policy, and ensure every maid has an escort present while working. This keeps the experience professional and enjoyable while setting clear boundaries and expectations.
Beyond safety, we also challenge misconceptions about our industry. We are not ashamed of what we do, nor do we believe embracing the beauty of the human body is harmful to society. We operate with integrity, treating both clients and our maids with the respect they deserve.
One of the things I’m most proud of is how we use our platform to give back to the community. We’ve organized bikini car washes to raise funds for local organizations fighting food insecurity, and I plan to continue using this business as a way to support important causes.
Looking ahead, expansion is on the horizon. We receive cleaning requests from all over the country—and even Canada—so growing Bare Essentials Cleaning Service beyond state lines is a long-term goal. As we expand, we will continue to uphold the values of respect, transparency, and inclusivity that have set us apart from the start.
At the end of the day, I want people to understand that Bare Essentials Cleaning Service is built on professionalism, respect, and empowerment. We aren’t just providing a unique service—we’re creating a space where people can embrace confidence, challenge outdated norms, and support their communities while earning a living.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Post-Labor Economics and Socialism have significantly impacted the way I approach business and management. These frameworks challenge traditional capitalist models that prioritize profit over people and instead emphasize sustainability, equity, and worker empowerment. I believe businesses—especially those in unconventional industries like mine—should provide opportunities for financial independence without exploiting their workers.
At Bare Essentials Cleaning Service, this translates into fair pay, respect for bodily autonomy, and hiring practices that prioritize personality and work ethic over outdated beauty standards. I reject the idea that labor should be purely extractive, where workers are treated as disposable. Instead, I strive to build a business where the people providing the service feel valued, safe, and supported.
Additionally, I take a modern approach to management by leveraging automation and AI to simplify my workload and create efficiency without overburdening employees. I use AI-driven tools for scheduling, client communication, and administrative tasks, allowing me to streamline operations and focus on the human aspects of running a business—ensuring the safety, well-being, and fair treatment of my team. By automating repetitive tasks, I can provide better work-life balance for myself and my maids while still maintaining high-quality service for clients.
The goal for Bare Essentials Cleaning Service isn’t just financial success—it’s creating a sustainable, ethical business model that challenges societal norms, supports our maids, and utilizes technology to work smarter, not harder.
Any advice for managing a team?
My biggest advice for managing a team and maintaining high morale is simple: treat others how you would want to be treated. Respect, transparency, and autonomy are the foundations of how I run Bare Essentials Cleaning Service.
One of the ways we foster a positive work environment is by creating opportunities for connection and camaraderie. We regularly host events where our maids can spend time together outside of work, whether that’s through volunteer opportunities or content creation events like photoshoots. This helps build a sense of community and support among the team, which is especially important in a unique industry like ours.
Transparency is also key. I make sure my team is aware of how the business operates, from pricing to policies, so they always know where they stand and can trust that decisions are made with their best interests in mind. There’s no hidden fine print or surprises—they know exactly what they’re signing up for.
Most importantly, our maids have full control over their schedules and the clients they accept. Flexibility is a core part of our business model, allowing our team to work on their own terms rather than being forced into rigid or uncomfortable situations. This level of autonomy ensures they feel empowered in their roles and helps maintain high morale.
At the end of the day, I believe that when workers feel respected, supported, and in control of their work, they are happier, more motivated, and provide better service. By prioritizing respect, community, and autonomy, I’ve been able to create a work environment where people feel safe, valued, and excited to be part of the team.
