We were lucky to catch up with Roosevelt “R0$E” Coats III recently and have shared our conversation below.
Roosevelt “R0$E”, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Taking a leap of faith in myself was my biggest risk. I took a gamble on me – trusting in my own abilities. I left my job to make a change for the better, and it initially appeared like I caused more damage than good. Even so, it was a gamble I had to take a chance to determine if I was cut out and capable of overcoming obstacles. As it happened, it helped me to acquire the skills to navigate challenging times, a skill that is necessary for achieving success.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Growing up, music was my passion. I took piano lessons from Cuyahoga Community College’s Arts Prep Program from second grade all the way to 12th grade. After high school, I started producing and formed a hip-hop group called C.O.N.G.O.L.O.M.O. Throughout our journey, I noticed how limited the support for local artists is. In 2016, I founded 4EVACLE to provide artist with the resources and support needed.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
At 4evacle, we’re all about building connections and giving back to the local community. This year, we’re planning a school supplies drive, food distribution, and various community sports activities to lend a hand. We’re excited to join forces with the community leaders to provide these much-needed resources.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
My outlook on competition has changed over the years. As a kid, I viewed it as a battle between me and the world; and I needed to come out on top. But the more I learn about business, the more complicated it becomes. Instead of simply attempting to win, I have found that success comes from networking and learning from those with different life experiences. Learning from these folks not only makes me more successful, but also gives me a better understanding.
