We recently connected with Ronnie Rose and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronnie , thanks for joining us today. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was offering their space for free so I could host one of my wellness events, “Return to Wholeness.” It all started at an event where I met a beautiful soul named Mecca, a talented professional photographer. As we sat around the table discussing our businesses, I shared my vision for a virtual wellness event, inviting the women to attend. Mecca, in a moment of unexpected kindness, suggested that I host the event in person instead and offered me her photography studio at no cost.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, completely taken aback by her generosity. It’s rare to find people willing to open their doors and hearts, especially to someone they’ve just met. What made this act of kindness even more meaningful was the fact that Mecca didn’t just offer me a space—she believed in my vision. in that moment, I felt seen, supported, and blessed.
Her gesture was a powerful reminder that there are still good people in this world, people who want to uplift others and see them succeed. Mecca’s open heart and willingness to help have had a lasting impact on me, and her kindness is something I will forever cherish. She embodied the essence of community and giving, and her act of selflessness was truly a blessing to me and my business.
I’m so thankful to have crossed paths with her because it wasn’t just about the space—it was about the belief in the power of connection and the ripple effect of kindness.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Ronnie S. Rose, and I am the founder of Self Healers Wellness, a space where I guide individuals, especially women of color, on their healing, health, and wellness journey. My path to this industry began during one of the most difficult times in my life. After a devastating breakup in 2019, I found solace and transformation in yoga, sacred sound healing, and mindfulness meditation. What started as a personal journey of self-healing blossomed into a deep passion for helping others experience the same transformative power of these practices. That’s when I founded Self Healers Yoga, which has since evolved into Self Healers Wellness, incorporating Health and Wellness Coaching as a core part of my offerings.
I offer a wide range of wellness services, including yoga sessions, guided meditations, sacred sound healing, and health and wellness coaching, with the aim of helping my clients achieve balance, wholeness, and well-being in every aspect of their lives. My focus is on addressing mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness, allowing individuals to connect deeply with themselves and experience real, lasting change.
One of the key problems I solve for my clients is helping them find clarity, healing, and purpose in their lives. Whether they are dealing with burnout, emotional wounds, stress, or seeking spiritual alignment, my services guide them through the process of reconnecting with their inner selves, cultivating self-love, and embracing personal growth. I also specialize in working with professionals in high-demand roles who struggle with stress and lack of balance, creating customized wellness programs that support their overall well-being.
What sets me apart is my authenticity, my lived experience, and my deep connection with the communities I serve. I am a young grandmother, a mother, a spiritual free spirit, and someone who grew up in the housing projects of New York City. My humble beginnings have shaped me into a person who not only understands struggle but knows the beauty and power of rising above it. I infuse my work with compassion, spirituality, and the kind of realness that people find comforting and inspiring. I also have a special connection to music and movement, and I incorporate those elements into my healing practices, making the experiences I offer unique and deeply resonant with my clients.
I am most proud of the impact my work has had on my community. From hosting wellness events like ‘Return to Wholeness’ to creating a space where people can feel safe to heal, the feedback I receive from those I work with fuels my passion even more. I’m also proud of starting Self Healers Wellness and seeing it grow into a platform that not only serves individuals but also professionals and organizations who need support in managing the demands of their work-life balance.
What I want potential clients to know is that Self Healers Wellness is more than just a business; it’s a movement toward holistic healing and empowerment. My goal is to provide spaces and experiences where people can discover their own inner strength and find peace in their personal journeys. I am here to help you heal, grow, and thrive, and I invite anyone who is ready to embark on this journey of transformation to connect with me. We are all capable of healing, and I’m honored to be a guide in that process.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Beyond training and knowledge, I believe that one of the most crucial aspects of succeeding in my field is doing your own inner work. As a healer, it’s vital to show up in your full authenticity—not as someone who is perfect, but as someone who is whole. This means continually tending to your own mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, ensuring that you are balanced and aligned before you can guide others.
Self-care is non-negotiable in this work. It’s about leading by example, embodying the practices that you teach, and showing your clients what it looks like to live with intention and self-awareness. You cannot pour from an empty cup, so it’s essential to prioritize your own healing and growth. Forgiveness—both of yourself and others—is a key part of this journey, as it allows you to release what no longer serves you and remain open-hearted in your service to others.
Serving with a pure heart and genuine compassion is another critical aspect. People can feel the energy you bring into the space, so approaching each person with empathy and understanding creates a foundation of trust. As a healer, you must also be a good listener, attuned to the unique needs of each individual and able to hold space for them without judgment.
Equally important is humility and the willingness to remain a lifelong learner. Healing is not a destination, but a journey, and it requires staying curious and open to new methods, perspectives, and lessons. Finally, staying grounded in your purpose and aligning with a higher calling ensures that you remain motivated to serve, even in challenging times. Ultimately, it’s the combination of personal integrity, self-care, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to growth that helps you succeed in this field.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
I would choose to be a healer over and over again because I truly believe this is my life’s calling. The work I do isn’t just a profession—it’s my purpose. In this lifetime, I feel blessed to have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, helping to create a world that feels more like “heaven on earth.” Through healing and guiding others, I aim to bring more peace, love, and wholeness into people’s lives, making the world a better place, one soul at a time.
