We were lucky to catch up with Ronnie Bolar recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ronnie, appreciate you joining us today. What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.
My school experience was both difficult and rewarding. I returned to school as a “non-traditional” student at the age of 31. It had been 10 years since I had to seriously study and take classes. It was very difficult for me to get back into the swing of being a student. The most important thing for me was remaining focused so that I could acheive my goal of graduating. Being in the healthcare field what kept me going when times got hard was serving my mentors in their practices and doing community service. I knew that I wanted to own a private practice one day. I found that serving and helping others was the spark that I needed to push through the difficulties of school. It allowed me to see the end from the beginning which helped me move forward through the difficulties of school.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Dr. Ronnie Bolar. I have been in private practice as a chiropractor since 2017 after spending the previous 13 yeas as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I got into this industry because I wanted to help people in a natural and holistic way. I always knew I wanted to be in the healthcare field, I was just unsure what I wanted to do. After turning down admission into the Florida A & M University physical therapy program, I started on a journey that lead me to school for massage therapy. After doing that for 13 years I felt that I needed to learn a little bit more to better serve those that were looking for alternative health care options. We specialize in getting to the root cause of health issues by address the nervous system through chiropractic care. We also help preganant women, children athletes and those that have been in auto accidents. this year we are adding specific care and protocols for those with digestive issues along with neuropathy and metabolic problems. We do all of this with a natural approach and the results are nothing short of astounding! We want our potential clients and followers to know that we can help them with their health concerns. If they are tired of going the traditional route and not getting results, give us a call today!

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I think the most helpful thing that I would say worked for me was to get a mentor. My mentor taught me to step outside of myself and encouraged me to embrace public speaking which allowed me to be able to speak to people about what I do and how I could help. This is something that was not natural for me however with their help it opened up opportunities for me to speak to large and small crowds about the benefits of chiropractic care.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
I would absolutely select the same profession. I love what I do and enjoy that people are being more responsible for their own health and looking at all of the options when it comes to their healthcare choices.
