We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ronni Samassa a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ronni, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?

One story that stands out as it relates to life coaching, is about one of my former clients that was going through a divorce. This is an area where I have been able to gain and maintain a victorious stance in and have used my experiences to share and encourage other women. She decided that she wanted a better life for herself so she began to take steps to achieve this while going through the divorce. During our consultation, I noticed that she really didn’t know a lot about herself and in some ways she was fragmented. She also had a desire to encounter God through her situation and I thought that that was truly admirable considering the circumstances. During our sessions she was challenged to explore personal interests and define what contentment looked like for her. We discussed friendships and support circles as measures to support her during and after the divorce. We discussed local and online ministries for spiritual support and membership. In between our sessions, she was able to take a vacation in which she enjoyed and she told me that she had met someone who was an “encourager like me”. I told her that was great to hear and encouraged her to continue to develop healthy relationships. On her post-session survey, she indicated that she was practicing better habits as a result of our coaching sessions. Life coaching itself can be summed up with that positive response, in that as we learn how to practice and master better habits in our lives, we will begin to see desirable results. It is not an overnight process, and our journey should be enjoyed and not exhausting.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I have a doctorate in Public Administration, a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, and a Non-Profit certification in Nonprofit Management. I’ve worked with the public sector in government for the majority of my career. My past work experiences include procurement, vocational rehabilitation, and human resources just to name a few. I’m currently involved in two startup businesses – Dr. Ronni Enterprises (DRE) and Eckaleo Entertainment Group, Inc. (www.eckaleo.com) as owner and co-owner respectively.

At Dr. Ronni Enterprises (DRE) the main focus is Life Coaching and Public Speaking and teaching engagements. Through these platforms, I’m able to offer services that cover topics that range from establishing healthy family boundaries to managing workplace stress. Some of my Life Coaching topics include:

Group coaching sessions are also available depending on topics of interest. I’ve facilitated an array of faith-based group sessions that focused on different topical areas. At the moment, I’m most proud of a recent success story that was shared with me a few weeks ago because I believe that it captures who I am, why I’m here and how others benefit from it.

There’s a young lady that I see quite often in a local Indian restaurant. I discovered that she had talent in fashion and specifically jewelry making. One day she showed me some of her designs and I immediately saw her talent and encouraged her to keep making her jewelry. Periodically, I would ask her how business was going and she’d say that she hasn’t had time to work on it etc. This went on for about a year. About a few weeks ago, I came into the restaurant and when she saw me she said that she had been waiting three days to see me and I asked her why? She said because of you I started my business again and now I design shoes! I was so taken aback by her news and I told her that I was so proud of her! It was truly a joyous thing and it was so impactful to me as well. I remember going to my car and crying. It really melted my heart. This experience really lit my heart and silenced a lot of naysayers that spoke negative things about my purpose.

What I believe sets me apart is my genuine compassion and love for people and helping them tap into their purposes. As you probably can tell from the story above, I’m extremely diligent when it comes to people and the things that they are passionate about.
