We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ronni Lorden a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ronni, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I learned to produce from self knowledge and help from my peers like my older brother my friend who has been a musician since 2008 I’ve recently picked up the ability to play the piano I’ve been working on it day in and day out . Knowing what i know now i would have just listened about the theory of music and applied my self knowledge obstacles such as stubbornness and unwilling to listen at first had to mess up to figure it out that’s my self process
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Orontes Lorden, But i go by Ronni a.k.a The Last Ronni or Ronni made det beat im from Lake Charles , Louisiana i have 7 siblings 3 sisters and 4 brothers i was raised in a single household with just my mom moved from Lake Charles , in 2005 to Columbus , Ga didn’t really know much about my environment i went to Rothschild middle school from 2011-2014 where i started pursuing my passion for art thus drawing, sketching, painting anything you can name one day i got tired of drawing due to so many trials where i had to start my collection of art so i put it aside around 2017 and starting pursuing the arts of everything which was clothing the things that possible with a vinyl machine and a blank canvas amazing ! From 2017-2022 I’ve learned so much from that so Transpiring into the future i was wondering could i add another attribute to the clothing all my life my brother Mariounta Lorden has been a rapper the year of 2020 i tryed to go to the studio and try it out didn’t like the mixing didn’t like the chemistry with the producer/engineer so rather then complaining i starting building my own studio from that day I’ve been moving my vocals on BandLab from 2020 to 2021 then from there i bought studio one professional and starting learning everything about my daw as i got better people would ask why don’t you make your own beats ? And i would say i don’t know how till one day i just so happen to try it and its been a first love ever since now of today i make all types of beats , record numerous people and just enjoy the feel of making my own music my views on YouTube for my beats the highest is at 18k with a few others including some with 10k , 5k , 2k my biggest goal is to push my music as far as possible so eventually i can take this as my main career
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main goal is to eventually be able to supply beats and work with local , underground & of course main stream artist. In general i love music i have the passion for it and it’s something that keeps me sane hoping to pursue it full time as my main career
How did you build your audience on social media?
I first built a fan base off making music as recording myself i have 2 mixtapes and an album currently on all platforms hit a little bump in the road as far as little discrepancies thru publishing and copyrights all rights are mines i just want to make sure everything’s sealed tight so i took all music down as of now i build from scratch and my fan base has grown from the beats views from 21k-1k i now reside in Columbus Ga willing to work with local and underground
