Alright, Roni thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Paint Moore is a mission driven company that inspire individuals to explore and express themselves through creative arts. We strive to strengthen social skills, self esteem, focus, perspective, attention span, and decision making skills by creating opportunities for social equality, compassion, integrity, commitment, among many others. During the 2020 pandemic, extreme isolation and lonesome developed among many individuals. People were unable to connect with others and children who worked hard in school were unable to experience graduation. My son, like many others, fitted in that category and it saddened me that after all his hard work in school he would not be able to celebrate. After exploring safe options, I decided to have a small informal painting celebration. I found an easy painting online and recreated the picture, despite having no painting experience. I was committed and focus on giving him a little bit of happiness. The painting turned out better than expected and I realized that painting was a hidden talent I needed to explore. My mission to create that same feeling for others became my inspiration and my son, Rico, became the inspirer of Paint Moore.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a Los Angeles native and mother of one. I currently work in healthcare particularly in Behavioral Health (Psychiatry and Chemical Dependency) as well as attend school for my B.S. in Community Health. Among all the responsibilities, my heart is also dedicated to painting. I started exploring my hidden talent in art and became a self taught artist with a focus on teaching others. My preferred medium and materials consists of acrylics and canvas painting. Our services include acrylic painting sessions for all ages, glow painting, and live model experiences for adults 21 and older. We are continuously expanding with goals to provide services that interests all diverse groups. I believe my business sets me apart from others because we offer mobile services that allows you to have fun in the comfort of your own space. We also set the bar for satisfied returning clients by creating and maintaining lasting professional relationships as well as providing competitive pricing and great customer service. I am most proud of the growth and recognition the business has received in such short time. I did not expect it to flourish so quickly, and I am grateful to my clients, followers, supporters, etc. for allowing me to provide my services. I want my current and potential clients to know I am dedicated to providing excellent services and experiences and will continue to explore innovative ways to do so.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media was quite a challenge when it came to marketing the business, especially for someone like myself with no guidance. I paid for a lot of advertising through Yelp, Facebook, and Instagram. I would ask friends, family, and colleagues to follow and share my business. I also raffle off gifts such as free entry to next events, free couples paint night kits, wine bottles from wineries, and/or concert tickets to those who agree to follow me during events. Advice I would give to those starting to build a social media presence is to try different alternatives. For some it can take one or two methods, and for others it may take ten or twenty. The most important thing is to keep trying new ways and not give up.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele came from marketing strategy that originated from deals on Groupon, ratings on Yelp, Facebook, and Instagram. I started to think about what services or companies I use to find fun things to do. Groupon was a great way to advertise because it is a worldwide incorporation that allows consumers to look for deals in their preferred location. A lot of my clientele was from Groupon. After servicing a party and passing out tons of business cards, at least one person from the event would contact and book me directly, and this became a trend. I also randomly email and mail discounts to clients who booked me in the past to keep them engaged with the business.
