We recently connected with Roger Minton and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Roger thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Naming our company was indeed a fun yet challenging adventure, much like finding the perfect gift under the Christmas tree!
You see, when I embarked on the journey to create a CRM software designed especially for performers, including the jolly old Santa Claus himself, I wanted a name that would capture the essence of our mission while sprinkling a dash of holiday magic into our brand.
“Kringle Tracker” was the result of a few of us tossing out names, and it felt like finding that elusive golden ticket in a holiday-themed treasure hunt. We had ideas like The Santa Planner, Kringle1 and others. The name pays homage to the legendary Kris Kringle, one of Santa’s many aliases, which instantly brings to mind rosy-cheeked Santas, snowy wonderlands, and the joy of giving.
The “Tracker” part of the name represents our commitment to helping performers manage their appointments, events, and clients with the same precision Santa uses to deliver presents around the world. It’s all about keeping things organized and spreading happiness, just like the man in the red suit.
So, think of “Kringle Tracker” as our way of bringing a touch of North Pole magic to the world of performers while ensuring that their operations run as smoothly as Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve.
Choosing this name was like finding the perfect holiday ornament for our brand’s tree—a delightful blend of whimsy and professionalism that captures the spirit of the season while helping performers shine in their roles.

Roger, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, let’s dive into the tale of Kringle Tracker—a blend of magic, organization, and a touch of holiday spirit that has been brewing for quite a while.
You see, Kringle Tracker is all about helping performers focus on what they do best—creating enchanting memories for their clients. It’s like having a behind-the-scenes helper, ensuring that every performance is smooth and memorable.
But where did this magical idea come from? Well, grab some hot cocoa and a comfy seat because we’re about to embark on a journey back in time to 2007. Back then, I was knee-deep in the world of magic, and I had this nagging thought: “There has to be a better way to manage my magic business.”
Back then, Kringle Tracker wasn’t even a twinkle in Santa’s eye. I had a plan, but I never quite pulled the trigger. Instead, I relied on a hodgepodge of other programs to cobble together some semblance of business management. It worked, but it wasn’t the magic solution I was hoping for.
Fast forward to 2021, where I found myself at a Santa School, chatting with fellow Santas (yes, Santa goes to school too!). It was during those merry discussions that the spark for Kringle Tracker began to glow brighter. The need for a tool like this seemed greater than ever in our community of performers.
So, I rolled up my sleeves, waved my magic wand (figuratively), and started sketching out the architecture for the Kringle Tracker application. But I didn’t stop there. I wanted to make sure that Kringle Tracker wasn’t just a figment of my imagination but a real solution tailored to the needs of performers like Santa and magicians.
I embarked on a journey to survey and speak to Santas and magicians far and wide. Their insights and feedback were like pieces of a puzzle coming together, and it made the idea of Kringle Tracker grow even more magical.
Finally, on a day that holds a special place in the hearts of many—February 14, 2022 (yes, Valentine’s Day!)—we registered the Kringle Tracker domain. Love was in the air, and we were falling head over heels for this idea.
Fast forward again to July 25th, 2022, and we unveiled the initial version of Kringle Tracker to the world. It was like opening a gift on Christmas morning, filled with excitement and anticipation.
So, what sets Kringle Tracker apart? It’s the result of a long journey, fueled by the needs and insights of our wonderful community of performers. It’s the magic of technology meeting the magic of the holiday season. And it’s our commitment to making your life as a performer easier and more magical.
We’re proud of what Kringle Tracker has become—a tool that helps you shine in your performances, leaving your clients with memories that will last a lifetime.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
At Kringle Tracker, we cherish the connections we have with our clients and value the sense of community that surrounds our brand. Fostering brand loyalty and staying connected with our customers is at the heart of what we do.
One of the ways we keep the lines of communication wide open is through our live chat feature within the app. It’s like having a direct hotline to the Kringle Tracker team. Whether you have questions, need assistance, or just want to chat, our live chat is there to make sure you’re never alone on your journey with us.
But that’s not all. We’re also spreading the magic on social media, specifically on our Facebook Page. As we embark on growing our brand we plan on sharing updates, tips, and tricks, and where our community of performers can come together to share their experiences, insights, and yes, even their favorite holiday stories. We want to create a virtual fireplace where we all gather ’round and keep the spirit of Kringle Tracker alive.
And speaking of community, we’ve got something truly special—a private Facebook Kringle Tracker User Group. It’s like a cozy corner of the North Pole where Kringle Tracker users can connect, exchange ideas, and support each other. It’s the place to be for all things Kringle Tracker, and it’s fueled by the enthusiasm and camaraderie of our amazing users.
Now, we understand that life gets extra busy in November and December, especially for performers like Santa Claus who are spreading holiday cheer. During those months, response times might slow down a bit as we jingle all the way through the festive season. But rest assured, we’re always here, even if it takes us a tad longer to respond. After all, we know that’s when you’re out there making the world a merrier place.
In a nutshell, keeping in touch with our clients and fostering brand loyalty is a bit like keeping the holiday spirit alive all year round. We’re not just a software provider; we’re a community, a support system, and a team that’s committed to making your journey as magical as possible. So, whether it’s through live chat, Facebook, or our fantastic user group, we’re here to keep the magic alive, 365 days a year – well maybe 364 days per year!
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Michael Howe: Michael and I crossed paths through our shared membership in the Michigan Association of Professional Santas. As the person responsible for managing our group’s website, I had a lot on my plate. Michael was eager to connect, but my busy schedule left his emails unanswered. Undeterred, he tracked down my workplace and called in, leading to our first meeting. To my delightful surprise, that meeting introduced me to the real Santa Claus and a cherished lifelong friend. From there, our bond deepened, and our journey into business together began.
Jeremy Rackley: Jeremy and I initially met in a professional setting when I was tasked with evaluating software and managing technology for a company. His impressive knowledge and unwavering passion for software development stood out. As we worked together, it became clear that Jeremy was not just a colleague but someone I could rely on. Our professional collaboration continued, and over time, our discussions on business ventures expanded to include our shared love for golf and our latest project: Kringle Tracker.
Ross Epstein: My introduction to Ross came through an unexpected avenue—my wife’s work at Renaissance Festivals and Fairs. Ross, an entertainer at the faire, also happened to be a junior software engineer at the time. When my workplace required contract development work, I extended the offer to Ross. Together, we not only nurtured his skillset but also cultivated a lasting friendship. When the time came to embark on the Kringle Tracker journey, Ross was a natural choice to help develop the software. His software expertise combined with his understanding of performers’ needs made him an invaluable addition to our team.
These chance encounters and professional collaborations ultimately brought our team together, creating a synergy that continues to drive the success of Kringle Tracker.
