Well most would say starting your own business is taking a risk. And yes there is truth to that to the risk in having to make personal investments to get the business up and running, planning and preparing the logistics and potential inventory, and not to mention putting yourself “out there”, hoping people will like your company. But from what we’ve learned is that the real risk comes when we pass up the opportunity to create a business. There is great reward in a risk but there is great disappointment and regret that comes from the question, “What if?”. When the opportunity came for us to start Three Strands Studio, we dove right in! We always dreamt of having our own business where we could be our own bosses, share our talents and passions, and  build a team. We may be in the beginning phases but our vision of building a legacy drives us despite the struggles and challenges that comes from owning a business.

As people, we’re not made for safe, easy, or comfortable. We’ve been created for challenge, growth, and achieving greater things than we could have imagined. While it may feel like it’s wiser to stay in a stable position rather than pushing our way upward that comes with the unknown, we actually do ourselves a disservice by staying stagnant. If we never challenge ourselves or think we can achieve something greater, we will be complacent with the mediocre and mundane. We will start to believe the lies that true success is only for the rich and the famous.

Let us encourage you today, if you feel like you’ve been feeling led to step out on the water, don’t hesitate. Be the courageous person you were made to be and step out in boldness that you have the skills, talents, and knowledge to do what you’ve been called to do. Our main goal as Three Strands Studio is not only to transform a space that functions well and looks pretty dang good but to transform the atmosphere of the space that impacts the clients long after we’re gone. There’s beauty in the transformation and when you think about it, we all get excited when we see a cocoon become a butterfly. But we don’t always love what comes before the transformation or how long the transformation takes.
