Rof, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with inspirations and heroes. Are there any historical figures you look up to?
There has been many personalities whose works has had a positive impact on my career as a writer and content creator in the creative space.
Through his Pan-Africanism, Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s visionary leadership and sense of patriotism during his tenure of office led him to implement beneficial projects in the creative industry which are still relevant and benefits the country till date.
Monuments like the National Theater located in Ghana’s capital city of Accra are some of the futuristic projects made by Dr. Nkrumah to educate the next generation of filmmakers in the Gold Coast, today’s Ghana.
Kwame Nkrumah left behind very good legacies in the creative sector for the country and he will be remembered by generations upon generations.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Felix Parker Longdon, known professionally as Rof Roc, I’m a Ghanaian blogger, journalist, promoter and content creator from Ghana in West Africa.
I got into the industry 8 years ago after coming out as an intern working for one of the big media companies in Ghana.
What started as passion for journalism when I was in primary school turned something else after taking on a few courses to fine tune my talents. Getting into the media industry had always been a dream I wanted to achieve to inform people about things they didn’t know about.
Artiste promotion, creative writing and tour facilitator are some of the services I provide to my clients. As well we do research works on the arts and culture of Africa.
The thin line between myself and others is professionalism.
Proud moment will be my recent win at The Arts And Business Awards (TAB) as overall best blogger of the year.
