We were lucky to catch up with Roderick Rayson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Roderick, thanks for joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
Back in 2018 I launch my platform Esyntric. Ive always had the idea to expand my creativty over time. I started my platform as a blog. I blogged about my life, uplifting the people, music and local entrepreneurs in the city of Dallas. While blogging I was tapping into other areas of my creativity in the background. While blogging I grew my following slowly and prepared myself for the next phase.
2019 I went public with photography. Photography took a life of it’s on. I’ve always had a silent love with photography. Years leading up to launching my photography business. I’ve worked, assisted and watch a lot of well known photographers and directors in the city. I took what I’ve observed and applied those experiences to my work. In my first year going public with photography, I worked with many business owners, children, published models and everyday people. I had the opportunity of being apart of my 1st art show. In that art show I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of other photographers and I was embraced by them with so much love and encouragement. I knew I was headed in the right direction when I realized that I’ve finally found my niche.
2020 arrives and I’m planning to grow my platform and challenge myself as a creative. The pandemic hits and I did not stop creating. Although I stopped blogging. I focus on photography more but I was met at the door with a new endeavors. I was asked to produce a YouTube reality show for Chasing Reality. I’ve always wanted to get into producing and directing but I’ve never knew the steps on how to start. As I began this new journey of producing and directing, I found a new love that has been amazing and creatively stimulating.
Fast Forward to now. I’ve produced three shows with one of them being Chasing Dallas Season 3 that is Chasing Reality on Youtube. I’m currently working on three shows in 2022 with one of the them being “The Retreat” that will be airing on Gemini Filmz on YouTube coming later in the spring.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a self taught creative. Over the years I’ve assisted many different creatives here in the city of Dallas and soaked up a lot of different experiences. Growing up, I could not really articulate my dreams because I loved doing so much. I was always told to put a label on my creativity or just do one thing. I knew I could do more and I was going to do it all.
As a photographer. I love to create and build concepts for whomever I’m working with. I love to build trust with the people I photograph because I’m able to get the most out of them.
Photography is truly a way I can create a world how I see it. At times things do get challenging but I always remind myself that I’m creating my own lane.
My greatest accomplishment would be being a producer of many web reality shows and also getting to combine photography as well.
In 2021 I was able to flex my skills in photography as the brand photographer for the YouTube hit show “Chasing Dallas” season 3. I also got produce and be the season director of 12 episodes and promotional videos. I’ve always wanted to be a producer and director and working on Chasing Dallas. I was able to get my foot in the door.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most awarding aspect of being an creative for me is the ability of being seen and appreciated. I’ve done a lot of things creatively and to have people genuinely support what I do and share my work with others is the best feeling ever.

Allow the people who are creating for you to be themselves. There is a reason you are intrigued with their work. Never compare them to someone else nor devalue them. As creatives we sacrfice so much on a daily basis for the sake of creativity. Give grace and space to the creative’s that are working to bring a vision to life.
