Roderick & Ramona, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Roderick & Ramona Luxury Home Essentials was borne out of an exciting time in our life yet was met during one of the most challenging times, the World was facing the unprecedented time of navigating through COVID. We had just purchased our home and was looking for home essentials, home accessories, linens, towels and furniture to put in our home. During our search we were very disappointed because we could not find African American companies on a grand scale that we could go to and purchase home essentials for our home that were reflective of our values and tastes. At that moment we decided to fill that void and began working on establishing Roderick & Ramona Luxury Home Essentials.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

In 2019, we purchased our home. While in the process of furnishing and decorating our home, we searched different home decor companies and found it hard to find home decor and home accessories that had our interior decor aesthetics in mind. We decided to fill that void and came up with a line of home decor and home accessories that would appeal to people that had our similar ethnic backgrounds and decorating desires. In 2020, during the pandemic, the idea of Roderick & Ramona Luxury Home Essentials was born. We decided to launch our luxury candle line as our first product with future plans to expand our products to draperies, pillows, bedding and other home decors/home accessories.

Roderick & Ramona Luxury Home Essentials takes pride in crafting and producing a diverse range of home essentials that reflects the top of its class. With a careful selection of top-quality raw materials, our goal is to stand out in the industry by rendering unparalleled quality products.

We at Roderick & Ramona Luxury Home Essential know that home fragrances and home accessories are both important aspects of creating comfortable and inviting living spaces. High-quality bedding and pillows are essential for a good night’s sleep, and can also add style and personality to a room. And, of course, home fragrances can be a powerful way to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

This will help ensure that our products are both durable and beautiful, which is key when it comes to our home essentials. We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Yes, we manufacture our products, it was and is still a process of trial and error. We conducted hours and hours of research and experimentation. When we came up with the idea for our home fragrance line, we had to start learning the process of making candles. Learning how to make candles has been a fun and rewarding experience. We started the process by gathering the necessary materials, including vegan plant based wax, wooden wicks and luxury fragrance oils.

The process of candle making has been challenging at times because we strive to make our candles a unique and memorable experience. Our goal is to create unique and beautiful products that make great gifts or additions to our customers’ homes.

The entire process of running and establishing a new business has been a challenging journey. Trying to establish a new brand, new products, marketing and financing have all be challenging. We are two years into our journey and we still face challenges that test our resilience. Whether it is facing business struggles, personal struggles, professional challenges, or societal pressures, resilience is all we know, We know the journey may not be easy, but it is one that is worth taking.
