We were lucky to catch up with Rocio Ramirez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Rocio thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you’re open to it, can you talk to us about the best (or worst) investment you’ve made. What’s the backstory and the relevant context behind why you made the investment.
The best investment is that in which you work on yourself. Although a basic response, it’s truly the most important investment I have ever contributed in growing business and business relationships. Everything starts with how you present yourself, your well being and the effort you put into turning strategy and ideas into reality. Once you’ve invested into your education, appearance and mental health suddenly the time you begin to pump into your business or the one you work for, all becomes worth it. At my lowest point, everything around me began to crumble and that’s because I wasn’t putting passion or love into my work due to not feeling those emotions towards myself. Once I took care of myself, my attention and dedication became full force into growing the business and growing the partners whom I work with. The ultimate investment is yourself, all else will follow.
Rocio, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Miami, Florida native, who works in digital marketing and advertising. Being from such a big city pushes a person to dream big. When I was in college, I was working part time frustrated with who and what I wanted to be. Luckily my passions fell into my creative sector, and I fell in love with digital marketing and graphic design. I began freelancing for small businesses, and through networking I was able to gain many connections that led me to working with even bigger companies. Once i developed consistent clientele I opened up my LLC, that allowed me to separate my personal and business finances – something I recommend to everyone, no matter how small a business. I’ve been lucky to collaborate with amazing creative minds that have helped me get to where I am, and expand the services I offer within my business. I hope to continue growing and learning more as my journey progresses.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The best way to growing clientele is networking! Never be afraid to put yourself out there when meeting new people, always introduce yourself following with what you do. You never know who may be in need of your services or products in the future.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
It’s crucial to constantly follow up with clients, to showcase that no matter how many other clients you may be working with at a time, individually, they all feel important. You are related to your brand, so the way you treat clients, whether that be potential or current, and even business associates will showcase what your brand represents. Consistency will showcase loyalty.
