We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rochelle Pollard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rochelle below.
Rochelle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
One of the most meaningful projects I’ve been involved in is my show, the Well Said Show. It began in 2015 in Los Angeles, marking an exciting step in my hosting career. I delved into red carpet events in Hollywood, conducting interviews with my favorite entertainers. The aim was to stimulate relaxed conversations where guests could showcase themselves positively, share their latest projects, fun facts, and conclude with uplifting testimonies.
However, when the pandemic hit, I unintentionally halted the show. It wasn’t until 2024 that I felt called by God to return to media and relaunch the Well Said Show, but with a new focus: kingdom conversations. I introduced new segments like “Testimony Tuesdays” to reflect on God’s transformative work and blessings weekly with others, “Well Said Mental Nourishments” for wisdom and scriptures, and “Intentional Conversations” for deep self-reflection.
With full YouTube episodes and more in the pipeline, this project has been deeply meaningful as it’s strengthened my relationship with God beyond my expectations. The feedback from viewers, their engagement, and their heartfelt testimonies have been incredibly uplifting. As someone who studied journalism and loves creating positive, impactful content, having the opportunity to express my talents in this way is a true blessing and privilege. Though the show began in 2015, it feels like a new journey every day, and I’m eager to see where God leads it next.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Rochelle Pollard, and I’m a host and kingdom content creator. My passion for media led me to study journalism, driven by a desire to shift the narrative towards positivity and meaningful dialogue. I believe that if you see something in the world that needs changing, you can be part of the solution.
My journey began with a realization: many interviewers and content creators prioritize
sensationalism over their guests’ well-being, exploiting discomfort for viewers’ entertainment. Witnessing this firsthand at red carpet events solidified my resolve to create a different kind of platform—one where guests feel safe and conversations are authentic and uplifting.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to be part of this change, using my voice and platform responsibly to share positivity and God’s goodness. I understand the weight of influence and aim to use it to inspire meaningful conversations and personal growth.
Ultimately, my content is crafted with you—your thoughts and heart—in mind. I strive to inspire and uplift, fostering connections and planting seeds of biblical knowledge & positivity that I hope will flourish with God’s grace.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I grew my social media audience through consistent posting, with significant help from collaborating with guests and fellow creators for cross-promotion, which led to gaining more followers.
My advice to others is to recognize the immense power of having followers. It’s a profound influence, as every post plants seeds of influence. Stay authentic, post responsibly, and trust in God. The followers will come, but it’s essential to let God prepare you for that influence and guide you in managing the responsibility with grace. Blessings can become burdens if you’re not prepared for what you’ve prayed for.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Initially, I funded my show using credit cards, purchasing equipment like cameras, backdrops, multiple microphones, set tables, chairs, mixers, and soundboards—much of which wasn’t truly necessary.
However, I’ve come to realize that God has already blessed me with everything I need to create content today: my iPhone, a mic clip, and my voice. I share this to encourage aspiring content creators who may feel they need a large budget to start their show or podcast—just begin. There are many free editing apps and resources available for free or at affordable prices. Use what you have, and trust that God will provide whatever else you need, whenever you need it.
