We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rochel Pamphile a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Rochel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
Well, after being an artist for many years, I never was managed, and I couldn’t afford a publicist. I knew I needed a public relations agency, but at this time, LGBTQ artists were not getting paid. I then took the initiative to make my own agency that is affordable and that will compete with the high-level PR agencies in Los Angeles and Hollywood. My first name and last name initials became a trend. R&P Entertainment Agency L.L.C. R&P Entertainment Agency specializes in public relations, marketing, digital marketing, casting, management, and branding. It’s been active for the last 5 years, but I’ve been doing public relations for at least 13 years..

Rochel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always loved hip-hop and didn’t know to which level or field I’d be affiliated. At one point, I wanted to be in front of the cameras as an artist and actor. I pursued that career for years and noticed how actors and artists were being treated by their managers, record label executives, and Pr agents. I didn’t like it and wanted to make a change. R&P Entertainment Agency LLC isn’t just a company to gain assets; it was founded By Rochel Pamphile to help actors, artists, companies, and tv networks maximize their brands. What sets us apart mostly is that our clients are mostly female reality stars, artists, and actors. typically Women are looked down upon in this industry, and we assure them that we will fight for them and represent them to our full capacity. From Paris Hilton, Angela Simmons, Farrah Abraham, Alexis Sky to even Kash Doll. After I won Publicist of the Year, I then took heed of finally branching an international department and a marketing. department. Most importantly, we offer brand development for clients, artist development, and many more services.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn is that most people “are respectful and loyal. “Unfortunately, in the crabs in the barrel industry, that isn’t always the case. I overworked for my clients when they probably wouldn’t do the same if the roles were reversed. I shouldn’t have fought or wasted time in my life for certain artists, who are neither respectful nor share the same perspective on business as I do. A lot of clients, actors, and artists fail to realize we take time out of our personal lives to help with their careers, their brands, and their goals unselfishly. Loyalty is just a word for most, but for me, it’s a lifestyle.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
There’s one mission thats driving me to continue building R&P Entertainment Agency is to be the main source of PR in the entertainment industry.
