Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Robin Litrenta. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Robin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?

For folks who may not have read about you before, can you please tell our readers about yourself, how you got into your industry / business / discipline / craft etc, what type of products/services/creative works you provide, what problems you solve for your clients and/or what you think sets you apart from others. What are you most proud of and what are the main things you want potential clients/followers/fans to know about you/your brand/your work/ etc.
I highly value customer service. Every client of Robin Litrenta Photography receives a personalized, luxury experience. Photography should never be one-size fits all so I design every client portrait session to fit their current season of life. I guide them with location selection and provide in-depth support on how to get everyone in their family excited for the photos.
Many of my clients say choosing what to wear for photos is their biggest pain point. I alleviate this by helping my clients curate a wardrobe unique to them and they absolutely love this free service. A simple questionnaire, communication and a look board helps get my clients looking and feeling their best for the camera.
When it’s time for the session, that’s when the fun begins! I create family specific interactions to capture their joy and love for each other. And when the session is finished, clients receive assistance with ordering prints and heirloom albums for their homes.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
It all comes down to the ‘golden rule’ and treating others as you want to be treated. I ask my clients how I can help them, then listen carefully to their answers. This is equally important with both returning and new clients. I run my business with integrity, open communication, respectful boundaries and high-touch customer service so my clients feel seen, respected and are given the highest quality experience. Client reviews and referrals strongly validate my process but I am not one to rest upon my laurels. I often look for ways to elevate the client experience and provide highly personal touches.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Photography is a highly subjective art. And since it is an art I notice sometimes people do not understand it is also a business. Perhaps it is because most of us carry smart phones with cameras so we are often making photos on our phones. We all know how to press that shutter. Using a ‘real fancy’ camera is quite different. There is a tremendous amount of monetary and time investment to learn photography and to run a photography business.
We turn to attorneys, dentists, hairstylists, doctors, electricians, plumbers, car mechanics…the list goes on…for their expertise. And we pay them for their expertise and respect that they are earning a living. Photographers, and all creatives, should be equally viewed as experts earning a living in our respective fields.
