We were lucky to catch up with Robin J. Watkins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Robin J., thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us a bit about who your hero is and the influence they’ve had on you?
When I hear the term “Hero” three people come to mind. My Mommy Ann (departed grandmother), Mrs. Heather Tucker (Teacher from high school), and STEVEN CLAY PERKINS.
My Mommy Ann’s unconditional, non-judgmental love and compassion towards me, shaped the very essence of my being. Knowing and understand Love at its rawest, authentic state is a form of mastery, a “cheat code” rather, that grants me the ability to advance in the game of life Honorably.
Mrs. Heather Tucker literally SAVED MY LIFE. Her natural selflessness propelled me and others to unimaginable heights. Her ability to see me for who I truly am and her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my success, was indeed noble. Mrs. Tucker defended my character in rooms I wasn’t aware of and opened doors for me that saved me from perpetual calamity. I call her my “lifesaver” because her Christlike character exampled everything I was to be. I am forever grateful for her.
Providing personal services to others requires a great deal of empathy, love, compassion, and many other characteristics that I am not sure I would have known or experienced if it had not been for angels like Mrs. Tucker and my grandmother guiding me along the way.
STEVEN CLAY PERKINS, a martyr, Man of God, Father, Husband, Friend, Brother, Son, etc. whose life was unlawfully taken by Decatur (Alabama) Police Department on September 29th, 2023, at his own home. Steve’s life and legacy has served as a beacon that led to the Rising of a Strong Tower, a mender of broken wings, and the composition of an unbreakable bond within the commUNITY of Decatur, Alabama. Steve’s story, a flashlight pointed in the direction of darkness, highlighting evil and corruption within the hearts of men, exposing broken foundations and secrets within city leadership that had be covered for many generations.
The #JusticeForStevePerkins movement inspired healing and development through the nation. This type of Love, Sacrifice, Support, and Dedication to humanity is admirable and has motivated me to seek Truth and serve the bigger picture with enthusiasm. #JusticeForStevePerkins, research the hashtag on all platforms. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORT.

Robin J., love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am 35 years old, living in Birmingham, Al. I am an entrepreneur, free spirit, conscious, empath that desires to save the world. I have a special place in my heart for the growth and development of humanity from a spiritual point of view. Human behavior and psychology were my choices of career fields in college. I like to observe motion and understand the why behind it. Since a young child, I love people, more specifically children. I believe children are so pure and are closer to God than we can imagine. Which led me into childcare. I started caring for children my senior year of high school, 2007. I took a babysitting job in Huntsville, Al (Jones Valley) caring for a young boy with autism. I saw how much it relieved his mother and family when I was around to care for him and entertain him. That one job provided many caregiving opportunities for me. Soon after, I began caring for intellectually disadvantaged individuals in a group home setting. Providing personal care and transportation fulltime while attending college. Both my parents are entrepreneurs and business owners. My mother a cosmetologist, my father a minister of the gospel. They both inspire me daily to excel as an entrepreneur. I eventually started my own personal service company, Royal Concierge Services in 2016. I began to serve families and business owners locally and later grew to provide services through the state.
Some of the personal services I provide are transportation, Personal assistance, Nanny Care, Housekeeping and janitorial services, office management, and much more. My goal is to provide a helping hand to those in need. In today’s fast paced often chaotic world having additional hands you can trust to delegate responsibilities, can increase the probability of your success. Having a personal assistant can increase time management, can help you keep organized, and overall reduce stress of everyday decision making.
What sets me apart from others is originality and authenticity. No one can be me. I serve others with my inner most divine being, so all I give is genuine. It makes the exchange mutually beneficial and hassle free. I show up to thriving environments comfortable being myself, motivated to keep going because my presence plays a major part in the growth and development of said environments.
I am most proud of my work ethic and dedication to the production of my brand. I want potential clients to know that THEY ARE NOT IN THIS ALONE! It is okay to ask for help. There are people like me designed to assist people JUST LIKE YOU! Let me be your personal gateway to luxury.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
A strong reputation is built through consistent high-quality service, personalized attention, and trustworthiness. For Royal Concierge Services, delivering exceptional care, building client relationships, and making a positive impact in underserved communities have been key to establishing credibility and standing out in the market.

Any advice for managing a team?
To manage a team and maintain high morale, focus on clear communication, recognizing individual contributions, and creating an environment of respect and collaboration. Encourage open feedback, provide opportunities for growth, and celebrate achievements. A supportive atmosphere where team members feel valued and empowered is key to keeping morale high.
