We were lucky to catch up with Robin Blue recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Robin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
BlueSmokeATL represents an award-winning luxury accessory line based in Atlanta and sold worldwide. Robin Blue is an influencer, brand owner of lux jewelry brand and brand ambassador cigar brand and an industry speaker. BlueSmokeATL, is the vision Robin Blue, Founder and CEO. BlueSmokeATL, is a timeless collection of handcrafted luxury products to include cigar pokers, cannabis clips, jewelry and other awesome things. Since 2019, BlueSmokeATL’s a 2-time award winner is redine traditional and inexpensive accessories into a beautiful, luxury brand with exquisite craftmanship.
Robin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always had a love for the arts, crafts, design and luxury. My mom and papa had business’ and I saw their work ethic and their goals for business growing up. Their business savvy translated into how I run my business today. There are three core tenants: Always offer the best product you can.

BlueSmokeATL started in the business 4 years ago, Our company wanted to solve the problem of companies offering clients cheap and inferior products providing the end user the less than desirable experience, BlueSmokeATL created a space to be at the forefront of solving this problem by offering clients an amazing experience when they purchase cigar accessories and other amazing products. We provide at least a 6-month product guarantee on most products and a year on others. We also offer custom products on most of our products. It allows clients to realize their vision on their gifts or personal gift.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
BlueSmokeATL originally sold cigar pokers. My customers bought quite a few of them. They were wanting to buy other items from my company, but my product offering was limited. A friend of mine ask me to create a bracelet to match his cigar poker. I was thinking no one wants a bracelet. I made 4 bracelets and they sold immediately and now; bracelets make up 50% of my business. You never know where your next inspiration will come from.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation in the market was the fact that I associated myself with a group of influencers “Atlanta Cigar Week” this organization is located in Atlanta and supports the cigar community. I became a Cigar Ambassador for the organization and leveraged their platform and connections to grow my business. I also grew my reputation by attending various cigar events as a vendor and continued to grow my reputation by creating several social my social media strategies. I am now a brand ambassador for Hiram and Solomon Cigars as I continue to build my reputation.
