We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Robert Shearn III . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Robert below.
Hi Robert , thanks for joining us today. The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
My first dollar earned as a creative came from posing nude as a Figure Art Model. I remember it being a challenge trying to get my first Figure Art Modeling gig. I lost interest pursuing it because of the rejection. A Nudist, Model, Actor Associate pushed me to pursue Modeling at a place he modeled at and I got my first opportunity. So it was exciting to finally achieve it.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I first started as a Model by being a Nude Figure Model for Artists, Art Students and Art Schools. It was natural to me because I’m a Nudist.
After being a background Actor in the movie Limitless along side Bradley Cooper I attended acting classes at an accredited acting School in Philadelphia at Walnut Street Theatre Acting School. I also had additional acting training under Actress Tasha Smith at her workshop called TSAW.
I’m most proud of being a Recipient of a American Reality Television Award for Best New Cast for TV Show “My Feet Are Killing Me” on TLC because the votes came from Fans Worldwide. I’m also proud that My scene from the same show was a Celebrity favorite that was featured on the TV Show Celebrity Watch Party on Fox with reactions from Tyra Banks, Ravin Symone, Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Master P, Romeo Miller, Lindsay Lohan, Reggie Busch and Curtis Stone.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
What impacted my thinking was attending networking events regularly. It gave me the opportunity to meet and connect with like minded people. I learned a lot through connections in person and from social media connections too.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
What drove me was all the rejection and negative words from others. It definitely ignited the gas to my flame to get out of my comfort zone and achieve my dreams.
