Alright, Robert thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?

Being a business owner allows me to impact a lot of people. For example, we are giving the opportunity to serve many guest throughout our regular business hours. While it is not seen by many people, we also have to communicate with the company we lease our store front from, making sure every payments and agreements are fulfilled. There are numerous vendors we work with, and we have to make sure deliveries and shipments are received on time. There are monthly, quarterly, and yearly fees that need to be attended in order to run a proper business, including permits, licenses, taxes, pest control, professional services, and many more. Being a business owner allows me to wear multiple hats at once, I am truly happy I am blessed with the strength maintain a business.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Before opening Boba Tea Lounge, I had a four jobs. I worked for a retail clothing store which taught me how to handle cashier and accounting skills. I worked for two different trucking companies, where I learned how to schedule and time manage. My last job before opening Boba Tea Lounge was for a medical company where I was doing medical billing and coding.

While working these jobs, I was able to save up enough capital to open Boba Tea Lounge without any loans. With that being said, after opening up, I literally had a few dollars left in the bank.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Consistency is what I believe help build our reputation as a business.

We train every team member the same, this insures the product you receive taste exactly the same every time you come.

We stay open according to our stated hours of operations, this lets the community know we are always there for them.
