Alright, Robert thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Learning what you are actually doing and why you are doing it means more to the performing Artist’s growth than anything else in my opinion. Knowledge is power and if you practice, study and continue looking for new horizons upon your craft, you are bound to feel the impact of actual manifestation through you Art form/Work. Learning your special craft is one of my favorite things to do in my personal business/industry of Magic and Entertainment, as new methods of innovation continue to ground break the industry.
Robert , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Magician and Mind Reader, Robert John, sets the tone for the city of Dallas, TX., in what is described as ‘The New Modern Magic.’ Providing an Elemental series of Mind Reading, signature Stage Manipulations and supreme Card Magic, the Magical path to the way of the Journey is virtuous. Through accredited Mentalism feats and Magic performance, the specialty continues to impact all audiences with utmost astonishment, wonder and mystery. Currently holding the title of, ‘House Illusionist,’ at The Dallas Museum of Illusions, appearances have been made in all the City’s top Venues, Comedy Clubs, Night Clubs, Theaters, Pavilions and Attractions. As well as Open Bookings for Corporate Events, Private Parties, Weddings, Birthdays & Theater Shows.
Currently based in Dallas, TX., Magic is also performed at the Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade Los Angeles, CA., and is scheduled to finally audition for America’s Got Talent in the spring of 2023.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Connecting with all audiences, giving them joy, astonishment and wonder. Sometimes even inspiration. And bringing out that inner child they once were, unleashing the world of mystery and Magical entertainment.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Books, books, books! Learning is inevitable when working in the field of Magic and Entertainment. It’s all about constant discipline on learning the history as well as what’s new in the current industry. Practicing the information and actually implementing it into your real working Shows. In this day and age, Youtube, Google, ect., have significantly impacted the way we all learn new material or receive a regurgitation on what was past. I would simply say that reading and writing are still the primary foundation to supreme fruition and comprehension of this self. Read as much as you can about the subject you are trying to understand. Discover what it actually is you are trying to understand. A set of three Marines can master and understand an entire subject in it’s utmost entirety within 48 hours maximum. We as Artists should have no excuse.
