Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Robert Boyd Jr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Robert, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a customer success story with us?
We have a person that was referred to us because she was frustrated with the current debt she had. She said a friend of hers gave her my contact and told her to reach out. After making sure she had an overview of who we are and what we do, we reviewed her financial position. We showed her if she continued the path, she was on with her debt, she would be in debt for the next 27 years. Her response was very emotional and said “that’s why I’m here. I don’t want to deal with this.” We then showed her a plan that shows if she were to follow the plan, she would be out of debt, using the same money, in 4yrs. Now the same emotions she showed from her current position was the same at this time, but she was smiling at this time. She asked us to review her over position and where she wanted to go financially. So, we gave a plan to showed her how to get out of debt and save money to be able to retire and stay retired. This plan was setup about 3 years ago. We received a call at the beginning of 2023 from the same client, she told us she was on her third phase of her debt plan and it expecting to be debt free by mid-year. We expressed our excitement with her on the phone and sure enough, she called in June 2023 telling us that all her debt is gone, and she is continuing to now save more of her money for retirement.
Overall, she thanked us for the education we gave her and she was appreciative of the support we gave her to get her to her current position.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Robert Boyd Jr. I’m a husband to an amazing woman named Hesok. I’m also a father to an awesome son named Robert III whom we call RB3 for short. My family is dear to my heart. Hesok and I, as owners of our business, we have a passion like everyone else to take care of our family and provide a support to the community. I came from the air distribution industry as production planning manager working 12-14hrs a day to help the company achieve their financial goals and objectives for the customer ordering product. On weekends I would work another 8-10hrs Saturday and Sunday. My life was mainly focused on taking care of the job while thinking putting this much effort into my position will take care of my family.
I began to realize that I lost sight of what’s important to me which was my family and I needed to change that to make sure they knew I value them over the job. So, I started looking for other opportunities that focused more of work/life balance and after several applications and interviews I learned that each of the opportunities focused on the job and less on family. I was with my wife on a network appointment she had with a photographer to talk about networking between their two businesses, Bountyful Creations and the person’s photography business. From that conversation, I began talking to the photographer’s husband and he is talking about how he is working to leave his job as a VP at Bank of America to build a business in financial services. So, he could spend time with his family. I immediately was interested to know more about what he is building. Once he explained what he is doing and the education he is providing, I felt it was the right opportunity I was looking for. My wife and I were able to attend a business meeting with them and after that business meeting in 2017, we started our own journey in the financial service industry.
We have a passion to education families on how to get out of debt and apply educational tools and services to secure their families future and develop generational wealth. The services we provide are risk management, insurance planning, retirement/estate planning, cash flow management, education/emergency planning and more.
What sets us apart from others in our industry is knowing that we started as client to another company that we learned gave us misled information and ultimately caused us to start over in our plans for savings. We have met with a lot of people and majority of families are being misled by all sorts of information from Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram, and other scams out there. It does make it challenging for families to trust who is telling the truth and who is not. Each of our clients are able to reach us directly and voice their concerns and new objectives. So, we are able help them pivot in the right direction for their families. Our focus is making sure families get the information they need.
One thing we’ve always told people is they will get to know our family as it relates to topics we talk about. We know it helps others know that we are just or similar to them and can understand what they want while respecting the emotions they are going through at the same time.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for our business is referrals through our clients. We feel the best form of advertising is word of mouth from our current clients. Doing what’s right will never go out of style, but when doing this, our clients refer us to others, and they get to tell their story which inspires others to want the same or more. We are grateful for meeting new people and sharing relatable experiences. It continues to ignite our passions to continue to educate families because the lack of education used to be our family.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
This question is similar to the previous. The best reputation to build is by doing what’s right the first time for each person we meet with. Education, understanding, transparency, and support is the best way to build a reputation in the industry. Especially when the industry already has a reputation for doing the opposite for the community. Sharing our experience of not being educated right the same way the rest of the community hasn’t been educated helps us be relatable. Each person we’ve gotten to speak with has said they can feel our passion and respect what we do.
