Roben , appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
I would have to say a defining moment in my career was when I started it. I was always the go to girl for all my friends and their kids … they always came to me for guidance, inspiration, help and it came naturally for me to give them tools and advice to help them along on their journey. I did this for many years before even knowing I could start a business and make a living mentoring and helping others. I knew I was passionate about it but had no idea it would change my life and allow me to help so many others change theirs!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have always been the most positive person in the room, always seeing what’s right, instead of what’s wrong, focussing on solutions instead of problems so coaching and mentoring was right up my alley! I help people take a look at the story they tell themselves on a daily basis as to why they can’t be, do, or have what they want in their lives, and we then dig deep, see where it’s coming from, then change the story so it actually aligns with who they truly are allowing them to live life on their terms, the life they desire to live. I’m super excited to change more amazing lives by launching my new group program Becoming Unbreakable before the end of the year!!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In 2020 my husband was diagnosed with lymphoma and was given 6-9 months to live, if he didn’t do chemo (we have always went to natural remedies for any ailments) as a family decision (we have 2 grown boys) and ultimately his decision he decided on the treatment and it was a battle for all of us, especially him. While growing through that time in our lives, I quickly realized it was a major mindset game … we could focus on the sickness, or getting healthier, we could focus on the possibility of death, or the appreciation of life, we could see all the things that were wrong, or be grateful for all the things that were right … it was a battle for him to create a new story in the moments of pain, vomiting, sweating, fear and frustration but he did it, he chose to live everyday on purpose, we all did it, and came out with a happy ending of cancer free! Where focus goes, energy flows, so the best gift we can give ourselves is to focus on what we want, see the good in life, be grateful for everyday, do what makes you happy and live each day like it’s you last … no matter what!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the lessons I had to unlearn, which by the way was the toughest lesson I’ve had to grow through was it’s ok to be seen and heard, what I have to say is important. You see I grew up in the days where kids were meant to be seen, not heard and I was always being told to dim my light, not be myself in a way, from not only my parents but teachers, friends and others. When I look back now I can see that it was their insecurities or programmed mentality that was holding them back from being their best selves and only teaching what they knew about how to fit in to society… it has been an amazing journey finding my true self again and knowing that I’m meant to stand out, we’re all here to shine our light as brite as we can!
