We recently connected with Ritika Tripathee and have shared our conversation below.
Ritika, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
When I started my career as a full-time influencer, I had no idea if I would succeed. At that time, social media wasn’t widely recognized as a viable career path, and there was a lot of uncertainty around making a living from it. Despite the risks, I decided to take the leap, investing time and effort into building my personal brand, engaging with my audience, and continuously learning about content creation and digital marketing.
There were moments of doubt and financial instability, but I remained consistent, experimenting with different strategies and adapting to trends. Over time, my efforts paid. I grew a strong online presence, collaborated with brands, and built a sustainable career in the digital space. Looking back, taking that risk was one of the best decisions I ever made. It taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of believing in my vision even when the path ahead wasn’t clear.
Ritika, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
To best support artists, creatives, and a thriving creative ecosystem, society can take several key steps:
1. Financial Support & Funding Opportunities
Creatives often struggle with financial stability, especially in the early stages of their careers. Society can help by:
Encouraging grants, sponsorships, and crowdfunding initiatives for artists.
Businesses and brands investing in collaborations with independent creators.
Governments offering tax incentives and subsidies for the creative industry.
2. Providing Education & Resources
Many creatives face challenges in understanding how to monetize their work. Offering access to business education, marketing strategies, and financial literacy can help them turn their passion into a sustainable career.
3. Fair Compensation & Recognition
Artists deserve fair pay for their work. Society should promote:
Transparent pricing standards and fair contracts.
Awareness around ethical collaboration between brands and influencers.
Protection of intellectual property rights to prevent exploitation.
4. Community & Networking Support
A strong creative ecosystem thrives when artists collaborate and learn from each other. Society can foster this by:
Organising events, workshops, and networking platforms for creatives.
Encouraging mentorship programs to connect emerging artists with industry leaders.
Supporting creative hubs and co-working spaces where artists can work and exchange ideas.
5. Valuing Creativity as a Career
One of the biggest barriers creatives face is societal skepticism about pursuing art as a profession. Shifting the mindset to view creative careers as legitimate and valuable not just hobbies will allow more artists to thrive.
By taking these steps, society can create an ecosystem where creativity is nurtured, valued, and financially sustainable for all.
Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) have been a game-changer in the digital world, especially for artists, influencers, and creators. They provide a unique way to monetize digital assets, ensuring authenticity, ownership, and potential long-term value. However, there are both opportunities and challenges:
What I Like About NFTs
✅ Empower Creators – Artists and influencers can directly sell their work without relying on intermediaries.
✅ Proof of Ownership – NFTs are stored on the blockchain, ensuring authenticity and preventing duplication.
✅ New Revenue Streams – Creators can earn royalties every time their NFT is resold, offering long-term benefits.
✅ Community Engagement – NFTs can help influencers and brands build deeper connections with their audience through exclusive content, access, or perks.
Challenges & Concerns
⚠️ Market Volatility – NFT prices are unpredictable, making them a high-risk investment.
⚠️ Environmental Impact – Some blockchain networks consume a lot of energy, raising sustainability concerns.
⚠️ Scams & Copyright Issues – The NFT space has seen cases of stolen artwork and misleading projects.
⚠️ Uncertain Long-Term Value – While some NFTs gain value, many others lose relevance quickly.
My Perspective
NFTs hold huge potential for the creative industry, but they are still evolving. To succeed in the NFT space, creators should focus on building value beyond just selling digital art offering utility, experiences, or exclusive benefits. Brands, influencers, and artists who approach NFTs strategically can create exciting opportunities, but it’s important to stay informed and cautious.
Would I personally invest in NFTs? Only if the project has a strong vision, real-world utility, and aligns with my brand values.
