Alright, Riq thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

After releasing an EP titled Shark Tank in the spring this year, Riq Bandz returned at the beginning of the Fall season to release his first official tape titled Tunnel Vision with majority of the production and beats managed by himself. The project includes 10 tracks with Riq Bandz’ artistry on full display after a decision to not include any other artist features to solely focus on his own craftsmanship which in a way explains the decision to name this one Tunnel Vision.

Riq , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Riq Bandz is an upcoming Hip-Hop/Rap Artist From Cleveland, Ohio. Without a major record label behind him, Bandz has managed his own career from the jump under his own independent label called Skrilla Family Music. In the spring of 2024, he released his first EP project titled Shark Tank then went on to release multiple singles in the summer that included some popular throwback instrumentals. Now recently he returned to the music scene with his first official tape titled Tunnel Vision. Riq Bandz works on his versatility by also producing his own music helping relieve the stress of having to go through others for production. He is also the owner of his own clothing brand called Arvell Apparel which he expresses in his lyrics as well as social media, concerts & interviews.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

The goal for Riq Bandz is growth. Expanding the fan base but also growing as an artist seeing how far this can take him or go.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist would be seeing the recognition of your work knowing that there are some people who are engaged in your music and have a love for it.
