We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rini York a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Rini, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

A year and a half into the pandemic, my husband and I were still figuring out how to adapt our businesses for the pandemic and I got a power intuitive hit that it was time to sell our house and move. We had been talking about moving since 2008/9 but with the recession, we knew it was the wrong time and we had the benefit of not needing to move- so we waited.

Several times every year we discussed moving, never really knowing how we would make it work between 3 kids, 3 pets, both of us going to grad school at the same time, and several nearly fatal illnesses. Life kept us busy and always onto the next thing to tend to.

So when I got this hit it was unusual. I knew we had to move and it had to be this summer (it was currently mid to late July.)

We talked about it and decided to look into it. It turned out to be the best time to sell our house, selling for 3 times what we bought it at. We followed our intuition to buy a house sight unseen. It was halfway across the country, from Portland, Oregon to muldrow, Oklahoma. We also bought it in cash.

We wanted more space for all of us, bedroom for each of the kids, and land for the pets and we found all that and more.

It has been deeply healing and even when we had company within a month of moving in they noticed how much peace and harmony we had, as if we had lived here for awhile. It was like a vacation getaway, and it’s our home. It was only 10 weeks from our first conversation to when we closed and moved across the country.

I have found that when the universe supports you, things move very quickly and seamlessly to help along the way.

This truly is everything we needed and wanted!

Rini, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am an acupuncturist, astrologer, and transformation coach helping spiritual entrepreneurs and light workers to release their blocks, reclaim their intuition, and reignite their power to realize their dreams. I do this thru monthly astro themed membership to tune into your celestial wisdom, individual healing or astrology sessions, and through 3 month signature breakthrough program.

I have a unique background and combination of qualifications including acupuncture, bodywork, RTT hypnotherapy, and trauma counselling to help people wherever they are at and to take them through their next uplevel in their business and life, to reach greater fulfillment, contentment and authenticity.

My struggle narcissistic abuse left me with severe anxiety. Depression, self sabotage, people pleasing, and constantly seeking validation. I can now embrace the beauty of my path with the deeper purpose of helping others on their miraculous healing journey to unlock their magical gifts and their most magical life.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

“When covid hit, my son was immunocompromised from Leukemia treatment and I could no longer work in person for fear of risking his health. With my kid’s health needs at the forefront, I had to surrender to my heart and find a new way to help my clients. When I had to close my physical practice it was heartbreaking but my son’s care came first. I felt lost, trying to figure out how to take my hands on healing practice to an online business. I wanted to find a way to create the same life changing healing and transformation online without the use and sensitivity of my hands, that were so skilled at reading and responding to energy. I had to learn how to tune in in a different way. Not only that but stepping into the online world felt triggering! I knew I had to heal myself first.

I was displaced from my healing practice and my income in the midst of big health obstacles that could not be put on hold, into the unknown. I turned to my spiritual connection. I did not let go of my dream of helping others heal, and I was able to make my family’s and my own needs a priority.

Knowing what I knew about energy, I believed wholeheartedly that healing and connection was not determined by being in person; healing is possible across time and space. My whole life I have been nurturing others and healing, especially through my hands. They are finely tuned to find and respond to energy. I had to tune into a deeper level of trust and certainty in my abilities.

I sought out additional spiritual development courses to tune into my inner wisdom and got certified in RTT hypnotherapy. Through my own spiritual journey and healing, diving into the mystery of healing, connection, self-awareness, and connecting to my inner truth and wisdom, I started to put together my collective wisdom and tools including social work, reiki, meditation, tai chi, and astrology. I realized that I could see and hear energetic patterns and blocks even without my hands, and began to expand my ways of tuning in. I found that my intuition and psychic abilities were blossoming and thriving. In fact, everything I had been working so hard for over the past couple decades and even for my entire life began to come to fruition.

Through this time, my family also went through massive amounts of healing and growth. We moved to sacred and supportive land that my soul was craving, creating deeper connection and harmony individually and collectively.

And what I learned through it all is that I was stronger than I thought. And we all have more inner power than you can even imagine.

I have always wanted a way to help others create lasting change, a way for them to heal in such a way as they healed at the root of their symptoms, release the spells that bind them for good – starting with myself…

realizing that we’ve become disconnected from our power. People are stuck in invisible patterns, lacking confidence in their decisions due to feeling disconnected from their intuition and inner wisdom, keeping them from their joy! These unconscious spells in their mind are what is keeping them from realizing their dreams! We’ve closed the doors to options and solutions without realizing it.

If you have been on a spiritual journey, you have heard people saying that all your answers lie within, and although that is true, it ignores one very important fact. That doesn’t mean that you know how to access it! What if you don’t know where the door is, or how to open it? What if you were the one to close the door in the first place and you didn’t realize how it is affecting you today?

Through my spiritual journey and evolution, I found how my unconscious mind was still acting on blocks I created decades ago. Blazing my own trail, I learned when I listen to the whispers in my heart, that I can release my blocks and unlock my magickal gifts; I found my sovereignty.

This whole time, the universe supported me when I needed, how I needed, in ways that were unimaginable and awe inspiring. I started to attract my soul aligned clients, where working together was co-creative, inspiring and supported by spirit. I created my signature program getting such amazing results that it all felt worth it! I realized my dreams, and I know this is only the beginning.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Word of mouth and referrals from other practitioners has always been the most effective way for me to grow clientele. I filled my entire acupuncture practice from 3 practitioners and word of mouth. In fact It was all organic marketing like that.

When I pivoted to online I had to figure out everything about marketing and now a couple years later realize that referrals and word of mouth are still my most effective strategy.

This is why I am launching a selective networking group to bring together a group of powerful entrepreneurs who would rather have deep meaningful contact and not rely on Social media for marketing. I’ve found the quickest way to build know, like, and trust factor is from a trusted referring partner.
