We were lucky to catch up with RIIIVER JORDAN recently and have shared our conversation below.
RIIIVER , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My DEBUT EP titled “Departing The Moon is out now. This from there very opening begins a journey we can all feel. This is the most meaning thing I had released as there is emotion and truth built into every aspect of the record.

RIIIVER , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am RIIIVER JORDAN the Artist. I am a singer/songwriter from Phoenix, AZ. I first fell in love with creating music when I was about 6 years old. My step father was a DJ and producer, I remember meeting some of todays biggest stars at a young age and wanting to do what they were doing at the time. Although I was an athlete like my Father, It was performing and playing in the studio with my siblings and singing that I wanted to do for career. My mother was a Prince fan so that Pop and R&B fusion has been a favorite since the womb. With my step fathers taste in Hip Hop and Moms love for Pop and R&B I knew I wanted to create worldwide music, music you could feel, music for everybody, at least that is the goal. Inspired by greats like Michael Jackson, Usher, and Chris Brown I found myself in Los Angeles, CA hustling to pay for studio time and training so I could be one among the greats that inspired me. The most important part of becoming a great artist was learning to love my story and journey. I had the passion and drive to be an Artist but I didn’t know how to create the vision fully. Since having lived in Los Angeles much has changed, I met Nick Cannon while living in my car and he gave me a kickstart to actually bringing my Dream to life. Up until then I had done some amazing covers, but I hadn’t discovered who I was as an Artist until meeting Nick and his team. I have since written for some amazing artist like the likes of Trev Yarash ‘DREAMIN and myself on my recent debut EP ‘DEPARTING THE MOON. I have a business ‘BLUE PRINTS that is going live soon with ways that my team and I are giving back to the world outside of music and the services we provide as a community of Artist. I believe we have all come from a time and space of survival and self realization or growth, this is a time that those able to create joy together and bring it to others, its needed. Such things as Songwriting and Photography to be a part of services provided. With music fans growing around the world I hope to be able to inspire others with similar journeys. Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Anyone that knows me would say I was always a positive guy, all about love, always a smile to give. Whether it was romantic love or the love of bringing people together I was always putting the world and love before myself with a mission to never allow anyone around me to be in low spirits. If I could help, I did. Well being this way lead me to losing my place while living in Los Angeles, CA which is how I met Nick Cannon. After losing my place, though I was working 2 day jobs and creating music in between, I decided I would push through by living in my car with my bestfriend and dog Brady. I thought what would be 2 to 4 weeks of working everyday nonstop would be all, but it was far longer than that. I spent 14 months living out of my car. Working at a Luxury fitness center by day and Bartending/Serving by night I was able to survive. I never imagined me and my dog would be parking on a 5th floor parking structure would be a thing. Every day I went to both jobs with the biggest smiles and biggest energy, Its how no-one in my life or world knew I was living in my car at that time. Curled up in the backseat just Brady and I for what became 14 months. I stayed in shape and mentally motivated even with tough days in between. I had Brady. I knew I had made it this far I couldn’t stop now, How bad do i really want it? Sometimes the Universe will put us in spots where we must be alone or make certain decisions that define paths. Luckily I met the Duran family and my brother and sister Sway and Vee brought me in allowing me to be there while creating with Nick Cannon an his team. Thank you forever Sway and Vee. Now here I am, having become more and experienced more life to create art with, here I am RIIIVER JORDAN a new force in music.
