We recently connected with Ricky Prestige Leverett Jr. and have shared our conversation below.

Ricky Prestige, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

I always had an inner knowing that I would be a speaker. I remember being in elementary school and speaking in front of hundreds of adults. I first tried out for a singing solo. Standing at the mic and belted out a horrific note along with the mic screeching. I saw my peers holding their ears and laughing. It was rough and embarrassing. The teacher pulled me to the side and said “you have a great voice just not for singing”. I was crushed until she said you do the 5th-grade speech.” I said “okay” not knowing I would be in front of hundreds of people at our graduation.

When it was my turn to do my speech to this day, I still feel the feeling. It just felt right. I saw the lights. I saw the crowd waiting for me. Although my speech was 30 seconds it was a preview of my speaking and writing career.

Ricky Prestige, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Im a 4x self-published author, professional Metaphysical Motivational Speaker, ordained minister of metaphysics and meditation instructor, and social media influencer.

I have spoken on a variety of topics for audiences both big and small. Ranging from corporations to small cultural events. I have led meditation classes for events and schools. I specialize in mind science, black history, motivation, metaphysics, and psychology. I studied metaphysics under Dr. Paul Leon Master at the University of Metaphysics. Ricky has been teaching, speaking, and studying mind science for over ten years.

I have opened a metaphysical store Mind Align 369 where you can find my products and content. My goal is to help an entire generation with the power of their own mind. I began to learn about the laws of the universe while in college. I became very interested in the study of the mind. My friends thought I was going crazy. I realized this spiritual knowledge began to change my life. I started sharing what I learned with others via social media. People began to tell me I need to write a book. After a few years, I now have published 4 books about the mind.

Im still making content and recently I have become a social media influencer on Tik Tok (@prestigespeaks). After a few viral videos, I now have over 78K followers. Im proud of myself because at one point nobody was trying to hear what I had to say. I stayed consistent and in my heart, I knew things will change.

I enjoy giving people hope. I love letting people know that we can create our reality. I work with people 1 0n 1 or group setting using meditation and spiritual sessions. I teach people how to reprogram their mind.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

Not many people have done what Im doing. . I teach a lot of spiritual topics people have never heard. So people react okay but a lot of time I have a lot of resistance. Some even judged me. Especially at the beginning. Then people start seeing me change and accomplish goals. After they see it works they want help from me. I never hold it against them I just always remember how they acted when they thought I was crazy. I learned you have to do what your soul feels right. People talk about you anyway and most of the time they are projecting their fears onto you. Follow your intuition it’s not selfish its necessary.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

I would pick the same profession. I just would have started early. I think me worrying about others slowed down my progress.
