We recently connected with Rick Deering and have shared our conversation below.
Rick , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Thru my years as a creative photographer, I have put together a vast collection of images in Fashion Beauty Fine ART and Still Life. It has been a humbling experience to have my images in gallery shows and published in international publications. I feel I have mastered my craft in both imagery and lighting.
In the beginning it was fun to capture friend’s family members whoever I could find to stand in from my camera, hoping to capture an image they would love. I didn’t realize at that early stage I was starting to evolve as a photographer. From portraits to fashion beauty to fine-art I developed my own personal style. Style is the key that makes your images stand out and separate from all the other’s.
Now on the next journey of my career I am launching a new and creative business… “Prototype Models LLC.” a modeling agency to service clients and the photographic industry with the most professional and talented models for runway and print. I have put together a team of great talent for the agency director, wardrobe stylist makeup artists and hairstylist.
We are all committed to excellence.

Rick , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My earliest introduction to photography was in the early 1980’s I just happened to pick up a camera (film) and it was instant attraction, a sense of knowing this was meant for me. It opened up the doors to a hidden wealth of creativity. To this day it remains a passion of mine to create beautiful images.
My focus now is to reestablish the high level of creative photography that was so stunning in the 80’s and 90’s. Thru PROTOTYPE MODELS LLC and the team involved we will strive to bring back the high levels of industry standards.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
To bring back the high level of professionalism.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Seeing your creativity in international publications, Gaining respect and recognition. Seeing created images used in advertising seen by millions.
