Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Richie Buggs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Richie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned primarily by studying others creative work . Knowing what I know now , the main way I could’ve sped up my learning process would’ve been networking more frequently. Actually talking to individuals that had been in the industry longer than me would’ve help me through my early growing pains . The skills that I found most effective was having a good communication and a positive attitude. The obstacles that stood in the way of me learning more was having the financial support to invest into the necessary equipment.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started with my business by learning about cameras and film production. This lead me to create my YouTube channel “ IAM TRE “ which has been steadily growing. The primary services that I offer are photography, videography, graphic designer , film editing . I take the stress away from content creators and allow them to focus on the content instead of the production. What sets me apart from my competition is that I build genuine connections with the people I work with . This allows me to satisfy my customers needs and build my network . What I’m most proud of is that I have been able to organically build my fan base and portfolio.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding my business has been my main priority. I have the understanding that it takes money to make money .With this in mind , I work part time to gain capital for future equipment purchases. The goal is to leverage my Capital and transition to credit based funding.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built on social media through the use of Instagram reels , YouTube shorts , and TikTok videos . My advice to anyone to looking to build their social media presence is to be consistent.
