Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Richard South. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Richard, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

We are currently filming and appearing on the “Hallelujah Time” telecast. This program was launched in 2010 by Richard South Ministries and features the “Power Singers” ministry team, Hallelujah Time Choir, and band. This is an uplifting and encouraging thirty minutes weekly for viewers across the nation.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

OUR VISION Richard South & the Power Singers ministry team are musical evangelists who have accepted the great commission given by Christ. In the Great Commission, Jesus called each one of us to be a disciple-making witness (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). His commission to “go” means that one is to live with the purpose of sharing Christ as part of our daily life, through song, testimony and sharing of His word.
Since 1998 Richard South and the Power Singers and Hallelujah Time team have traveled across the Southeast conducing “campmeeting crusades” seeing people saved, healed, set free from bondage and delivered from sin. Richard and his team minister through song with a unique sound and a powerful anointing, enabling their God given talents to be used by the Lord to touch the lonely, and lost. Each year our team has reached out to the community in love meeting the needs of the elderly and lonely and bringing Christmas to many families with small children.
As we move into our 24th year our heart is to enlarge our territory- To reach out farther through television with our “Hallelujah Time” telecast and to local churches with revival meetings.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being able to help folks in need

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Yes, our goal is to encourage people to know there is hope in a hopeless world through gospel music.
