We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Richard Pierre a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Richard, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your career and how did you resolve those issues?

Finding our niche was the most unexpected problem. Listening to our guests, audience and others experienced in media to inform us that we needed a niche to focus on was how we resolved that issue. There was point in time when there was no growth occurring. Many people expressed that the show lacked direction and didn’t really have no real reason to tune in as nothing of value is being taken from the show. At that moment in time it was hard pill to swallow for three adult men to have to take developmental feedback and not interpret as negativity. Different creative ideas and goals led to many conflicts that almost halted the production of the show. However belief in the product and our friendships lead to budding success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We are Keep in Mind Podcast. A group of three black men One Married, and two bachelors.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of our show are the lessons learned from the different perspectives we get from all our guests. Many topics we discuss we often feel that we have an idea of what most people would say but many guests surprise us with their views and answers.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

We initially began the podcast on all audio platforms. The growth was a bit slow and we used video to increase engagement. We tried various different video styles and editing to find a style that was more engaging and informative.
