Richard, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to be more than a well-crafted watch, it’s to continue to create a lifestyle built on the principle of succeeding beyond measure and breaking through limitations, in style. It is extremely meaningful to me because the birth of R. Burnett Brand happened abruptly. I was fired from my position a week after incorporating my business. That took a toll on me and was at my lowest. It was a choice between sinking in sorrow or swimming for glory when God decided to subtract distractions from my life for optimal focus on His plans.

R. Burnett Brand was founded in late 2019 by myself, Richard Burnett Jr, a 25-year-old back male, entrepreneur, and active member of Next Generation Pioneers, a non-profit organization in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which is where I was born, a luxury watch company and lifestyle brand started as an idea acted on in faith and the support of my family, friends, and community. R. Burnett Brand has been featured in Visit Baton Rouge, BRProud, 225 Magazine, Baton Rouge’s Business Report, Baton Rouge Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, Re.engineer, GQ, Tatler, and Hinton. As of 2022, R. Burnett Watches have made it to 43 out of 50 states in the United States of America and overseas numerous times. With that being said, R. Burnett Brand is more than a well-crafted watch, it’s a lifestyle built on the principle of succeeding beyond measure and breaking through limitations, in style.

The major keys to what helped me build my reputation was being transparent, authentic, and trustworthy. Finding my target audience and building relationships is what catapulted me to where I am today.
