We recently connected with Rich James and have shared our conversation below.

Rich, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

I am a firm believer that people can change and improve their lives for themselves and others. Ideas Unlimited Solutions comes from the concept that there is a solution for every problem. Whereas, Living a Rich Life Network is not just the company name/brand but an ongoing campaign of life and how I live my life based on six elements:

1. Good Health 2. Strong Relationships 3. Financial Freedom 4. Goals & Achievements 5. Extraordinary Experiences 6. Philanthropy

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

While I am a native New Yorker, I have established roots in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a firm believer that with focus and consistency, people can positively transform their lives and the lives of others. Through the Living a Rich Life talk show, I aim to inform, inspire, and encourage others to believe in change in all aspects of life and provide information on how to rebrand, change, and improve their lifestyle. As a personal example of a changed life, I often share the incredible shift I made in my life from a season of bad decisions and being under the control of a gambling addiction to living a truly enriched life where I am establishing the legacy of my dream. I now invite some of the most amazing people locally and nationally to appear as a guest on the Living a Rich Life talk show to share the stories of their lives and encourage others. The uniqueness of my platforms is that I extend opportunities to individuals to share their personal story regardless of who they are, who they are connected to, or their standing is society. I believe we all have a story. I’m here to help you tell yours. The Living a Rich Life talk show appears weekly on Wednesdays at 5 PM EST on BeExposedRadio.com.

My background in Strategic Marketing and Project Management has afforded me the privilege to be the principal of Ideas Unlimited Solutions and serve several fortune 500 companies, such as T. Rowe Price and HP, Inc. Often described by others as dynamic and having a fun loving spirit, my work as a network concierge grew out of my natural tendency to bring together and establish connections between people of various social, economic, and racial statuses who were unlikely to meet and benefit from each other’s value. Since I am known to connect people to some of the best experiences in the city, I am regularly called upon to secure event venues, provide day of hosting and on-site management, and find solutions to conflicts with attendees’ experiences.

My proudest moment was taking the step to change and reclaim a rich life, a life capturing good health, strong relationships, financial freedom, goals & achievements, extraordinary experiences, and philanthropy. Many people never take that step of change. They may desire to change but they never actually do change. I am grateful that I actioned my desire to change and now I am able to help others live a changed life too. Episodes of my show reach thousands of people. Viewers have expressed the content on my show has widened their perspectives on topics they may have never been exposed and served to motivate them to create and pursue their personal plans.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

My reputation was built as a result of my natural ability to connect with people. I believe people are attracted to positive energy and want to have extraordinary experiences. I’ve been told and I personally recognize that I have a great energy that people are drawn to. When people engage with me they find that I am authentic and true to who I am, I have a genuine interest in who they are, and I still believe we can learn, grow, and make changes. I tell my guests and audience that life is constantly changing because there is always room for improvement.

I carried the ability to connect with people into the craft of hosting talk radio. I’ve been afforded the privilege to interview a diverse group of exceptional people. Over the years, these honest, transparent, and enriching conversations created me a niche in the entertainment and media industry that people want to be a part of.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

It is important to me that my clients and guests are comfortable with working with me and my team. One of the ways I ensure they are comfortable is how I communicate with them. The strategic growth of my clientele hinges on my communication. For me, speaking with people, not speaking at people, has been an effective strategy for growing clientele. I not only hear what is being said, but I listen to what is being said. My listening helps me to better fulfill my clients’ needs, ask poignant questions to draw out insight, and help grow their connections through my network. As a result, people share their experience with others. This allows for business to grow, increased guest appearance requests for the show, and additional sponsorships for the station.
