Riccardo , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The Salavate name came from the creative mind of Matt, one of the owners.

He combines the word SALIVATE ( People salivate when they smell something delicious cooking or are hungry) and the last name of the master mind of the company, Riccardo Sala native from Milano (Italy).

This is where SALAVATE comes from.

We are a company that serves fresh pasta and also focuses on private dinner and ready to eat meals.

Who does not like a great lasagna with fresh home made ingredients or a nice plate of fresh tagliatelle bolognese?

Salavate is the result of Riccardo’s dream that he has had since he took his first steps in the hotel industry and has always been his passion. Riccardo is native to Milano (Italy) and worked worldwide with luxury brands and he created the Salavate Pasta company with 2 other professional Chefs with luxury backgrounds, Matt and Jonathan.
Discussing this idea over several months Salavate was brought to life in Riccardo’s Kitchen in front of a beer.

We are dedicated to providing authentic fresh pasta to elevate the hotels or restaurants’s menus and serve the best fresh pasta with an authentic Italian touch.

The mission behind Salavate Pasta it’s to make a product that can help businesses overcome struggles in operations.
Unfortunately the Culinary industry has not been the same for a few years and some of the places are having hard time to keep up with the consistency of the menu’s items they serve or they can not find staff to be able to serve it right.

This is where Salavate helps by providing the same product, home made, and of high quality that will make your food offer even better.

We are a small local business based in Lakeland, Florida, who provide pasta, private dinners and ready to eat meals in Lakeland and Orlando’s area.

With a selection of over 10 kinds we are offering several shapes of pasta, long or short.

Our goal is to invest time in developing a personal connection with each and every one of our customers, by providing quality service and customization of their needs.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

Salavate is a small business that makes fresh pasta from scratch.

I spent most of my childhood making pasta from scratch with my grandma and the dream to one day own a pasta company, started from there.

My love for pasta is what drives me now, with my 2 partners to provide the best product ever, with the Italian touch.

I always say to the people who ask me why I like to make pasta: “many people do yoga to relax and find peace, I make pasta instead”.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source for us, so far, has been the world of mouth and the social media but mainly, the best source of new clients was to have the people trying our product and taste how good it is.

Some people do not know what fresh pasta tastes like, how easy it is to work with it and how enjoyable it is to eat it.

We started by having people trying the pasta and they were all impressed how good fresh pasta can be.

A pasta dish made with dry pasta or fresh pasta is completely different, because the fresh pasta tastes just so much better.

We hope more and more people will order from us and try our fresh pasta.

Our pasta is a game changer in any occasion, from your restaurant’s menu to a simple dinner after you come home from work.
