We recently connected with Riccardo Buratti and have shared our conversation below.
Riccardo, appreciate you joining us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
Hello everyone! I’m Riccardo Buratti, and today I would like to share with you my approach to creating content on social media. As a content creator, I strongly believe that passion and authenticity are crucial in creating truly relevant and meaningful content. I enjoy sharing my interests, experiences, and knowledge with my online community. I experiment with various content formats, such as videos, photos, and texts, to effectively express my ideas and engage my audience in an authentic way.
I am aware that blindly following social media trends can lead to greater success, but I believe that each of us has a unique voice to be heard. Unlike some other content creators (not all, of course), I make sure to thoroughly research a trend and only follow it if I am genuinely interested in that item and if I believe I will use it in the future.
I see people buying clothes or shoes just because they saw a video on a social network, and then, after just a month, no longer using them because they are “out of fashion.” I want to avoid filling my closet with things that I would only wear two or three times, and that’s the advice I give to the people I interact with as well.
I am committed to building a community of people who share my passions and interests, and I am grateful to anyone who joins me on this creative journey.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
It all started with the first quarantine. Being constantly at home, I began to have a different approach towards social media. I started posting more on Instagram and engaging more with my followers. Some of my photos went viral, and I found myself with an above-average engagement rate. This allowed me to get in touch with some companies for collaborations.
The world of social media has also allowed me to meet fellow content creators, with whom I have formed friendships.
What I want to say is that I always try to be “real” on social media, as if people were seeing me in person. I don’t like the idea that someone can form a completely different perception of me, even though the possibility exists because they only see me through the screen of their phone.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I believe the best thing about being part of the social media world is the opportunity to interact with users from all over the world, exchanging ideas and opinions. I am very happy to read all the comments and private messages from my followers. It’s their support that encourages me to continue creating content, even though sometimes it can be disheartening due to the social media algorithms, especially in the past year.
Creating content has given me the chance to get closer to the world of fashion. I always try to understand if certain colors or fabrics can go well together, or if choosing one pair of pants over another can make the jacket stand out.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The main goal I would like to achieve is to turn creating social media content into a full-fledged job. Despite being a world that is often criticized due to lack of understanding, I believe it offers the perfect opportunity for people who feel inspired and have stories to showcase their passions and interests to their followers.
