We recently connected with Rian “2.0” Martin-Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rian “2.0” , thanks for joining us today. Too often the media represents innovation as something magical that only high-flying tech billionaires and upstarts engage in – but the truth is almost every business owner has to regularly innovate in small and big ways in order for their businesses to survive and thrive. Can you share a story that highlights something innovative you’ve done over the course of your career?
I am self taught dancer and athlete of 16 years and that time I’ve worked with artist like Chris Brown Hopsin will smith world of dance and hip-hop international. I did all of this independently and what I did is create a name in a brand I took the social media I took the live shows Everywhere I went. I spread my message, clothing, brand stickers, apparel and more.
The coolest thing I’ve done is build a brand and skill set independently created my own niche and market
Rian “2.0” , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got started with dance as a way to express myself I was shy, introverted, kid, and dance, allowed me to step outside of my every day normal What I am most proud of is the fact that I’m self-taught Suffield and have maintained that for over 16 years I’ve traveled all over the world work with countless studios companies businesses celebrities, I was able to maintain my vision, my integrity and my morals
Have you ever had to pivot?
There’s been several times in my career that I’ve had to have it. The most recent is due to my children being born. But the way I pivot is to continue into a new lane that allows me to be the father. I want to be and still exercise everything that I believe makes me soul about re-branding and refocusing in any time but thanks good so I continue to do so true myself into a new light.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for me has been promotion, i.e. social media, IE TV, news magazines. This helps bring attention to the masses and gain interest in a way that word of mouth does not.
