We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rhonda Talley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Rhonda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Have you ever had an amazing boss? What did you learn from them? Maybe you can share a story that illustrates the kind of boss they were or maybe you can share your thoughts on what you think made them an awesome person to work for?

My mentor leader of our unit is amazing. She is like a mom to me. She is very supportive, gives great advice and wisdom of her forty years in the business. She motivates, encourages, leads by example and just a great friend! I can go to her for just about anything and that’s what I love. Great gift that came out of my starter kit.

Rhonda, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

It has been 20 years since I started my business as a independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I started the company to make extra income and I’ve stayed for so many reasons. I enjoy meeting new people making them feel important while teaching them basic skincare and glamour. I’ve met so many amazing people on this journey that have built great friendships to lasts a lifetime. I like the fact that the company is faith based, all about your family and career. I can’t imagine not being a part of this great company!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

We have a preferred customer program where each quarter we send a look book with samples of the latest and greatest for each season. There the first to see what’s new before anyone else.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Events where I am able to set up a booth and referrals
